He mentioned about packing up and moving to Jacksonville, Florida. Maybe preparing to coverup his tracks.

Perhaps we should not be so quick to judge.
Things can and do get out of hand on a forum.
Not knowing ALL the facts and jumping to a wrong conclusion is not fair to anyone.
I dont know why he was booted off the forum but I am sure Mr Wilson had a reason for that action.
Posting here is a priveledge not a right ... we must respect that.

I do not know all the facts and can only relate to my personal dealings with Barkcinnamon.
Most of which has been positive.

For some reason PayPal has put a hold on the money he sent me for a pen.
I thought it was a done deal.
He got the pen and the money was in my account a week ago.
Why should some other deal gone bad (if that is the case) affect the MY account.
I question the 'put it in and jerk it back' wisdom of PayPal about this and am now leary of accepting PayPal as a form of payment.

He did that a lot.
Not just recently but from the start.

I wonder if that had something to do with his being booted?

Actualy I found the USPS Deleivery confirmation slip so that part is covered.

I just got off the phone with him and he says he is very pleased with the pen and dont know why PayPal is placing a hold on the money sent to my account.
I called PayPal and they confirmed that he did not file a claim and that this is an investigation conducted by PayPal.

I am not happy about that but what can you do.

Barkcinnamon called me (to his credit) and told me a lot more than I wanted to hear but it seems there is a big misunderstanding going on if there is any truth to his story. I hope it gets worked out for everyone involved.

All he needs to do is call me & work it out. Very simple! 919 247 3391

Dollars equaling the amount he spent with me are now on hold in my Paypal account as well. I'll keep you posted if you do the same here. Thanks.

Just as a follow up ...
I guess that Daniel got a refund from Paypal for the jackets.
Paypal went and took the money out of the accounts of everyone that Barkcinnamon paid money to and reversed the money back to Daniel.

Of course Barkcinnamon dont feel obliged to pay anyone that got screwed for the items that they sent to him after recieving a payment notice from Paypal.
I fault Paypal for jerking that money back over 30 days after they sent the notice of payment to me.
I sent the item thinking the money was safe and sound in my account. Live and learn.

Word to the wise ... never leave money in your Paypal account.
Transfer it to your bank account.

J Holmes in Jamacia NY 718-358-6855 aka Barkcinnamon is a theif!

I received no refund from anybody. This guy is personality con with a whiny hard luck story schtic.

Jamaica, NY not the nicest of places to live (I'm trying to be PC here). It is a low income, crime filled area. You could drive down certain streets there and see hookers in all their regalia struting their stuff. Street drug sales in the open etc. I would be reluctant to do business with someone who lived there without references from someone I trusted completly.

When I was a yoot (circa 1969), the FBI asked my parents if they could setup a surveillance operation for a few days on our balcony watching a business that was easily seen from there. They left after a few days. Soon after the place was raided, a line of people arrested and the place closed. This of course could happen anywhere, but I wanted to share that story.

Willee...and others...simply tranferring the funds from PayPal into your bank account will not stop them from 'recovering' funds. Unfortunately, part of the agreement you accepted with PayPal authorizes them to go into the bank account attached to the PayPal account to recover funds, if necessary. The only way around this...and what I did to protect myself with eBay, was I opened a 2nd bank account, that is not attached to PayPal in any way. Once I receive a payment for an item via PayPal, I immediately request the transfer to the bank account that is attached to PayPal. As soon as those funds hit my bank account, I immediately do an online transfer of those funds to my general bank acccount, which PayPal has no authorized access to.

This is what my bank advised me to do when I had an issue with an eBayer about a year ago that was causing me some problems with a false 'item not received' claim. It was all eventually resolved, but I now have this 'safeguard' in place. Basically, it's a 'dummy' account specifically for Paypal use. I tranfer funds in and out of the account, as needed. Since it is a free checking account with no checks ordered or issued against it...it works out great, and costs me nothing. :)

Forgot to update my experience. As mentioned before, Paypal froze approximately $500.00 of mine during the time everyone else was having simular action taken. In short, I was given those funds back. Thought that money was gone for good.

Very sorry for your loss Willie. It would be interesting to know how they decided who gets screwed and who doesn't. Hummmm.

This is Barkcinnamon back using a new name ... are you watching Mr Wilson?
Who else would try to wrap me up in his other sour deals.

From what I have learned Daniel got someone else that had a Paypal account to send you the money for the jackets.
The jackets were not what you said they were.
The person that owned the paypal account filed a claim and Paypal reversed all your transactions including the one with me.
That money went somewhere.
Either Paypal has refunded it to the Paypal account it came from or they still have it in their pocket.

Regardless ... my deal with you is between me and you and no one else.

What you should do Mr. J Holmes is pay me for what I sent you or send the item back to me.
THAT is what an honest man would have done when he found out there was a problem with his paypal account because other deals went sour.

What is really ironic is that if you had been up front and honest with me from the start by telling me you could not afford to send me the money and offered to send the pen back, I would have just given it to you.
But since you have chosen the path of a weasel ... NO WAY!
I can not justify rewarding a thief.
Hope you think about this every time you use that pen.

BTW ... you are not the only one on this group that has weaseled me out of money.

Lisa

That is good to know, Lisa, and thanks for posting that.

Paypal has told me they can not go and remove funds from your bank account without your authorization.
I asked the customer rep more than once and was very specific about it.
But I guess that is what you would expect them to say.
Is the world full of weasels?

NO. Haven't heard from the Barkster. Thanks fellas for the support & funny anectdotes.
I've known Tim (Daniel) for quite a while now, and have had numerous dealings with him. If he tells you he will get a cue to you by 4:00. Then, poke your head out the door at 3:58. Good guy and I hate to see him get reamed.
