Dean your cue is ready...

Hurry Dean

This is a real beauty Dean. I've always thought they were the classiest
of all designs, ever sense I first saw one in Vegas at one of the Jansco
tournaments. I don't know if you ever saw it but Billy made one that
the fore arm and butt sleeve were white with ebony boxes. Just like
the Szamboti I had at the butt sleeve, but the forearm was the same
way as I remember. I don't think it was Ivory, it was not segmented
Billy told me it was the first cored cue. I think it might have been
Micarta, when it is new on a cue it's much whiter but turns yellow with
age. But getting back to our new cue if it has not been mailed yet you
could have Bob send it directly to me for evaluation. This would save
you the cost of mailing plus speed up the process. As a special
favor to you I will give you the grand deluxe evaluation and the long term
play ability test at the cost of the regular package. As always you pay
for evaluation, testing, and postage in advance. Hurry this is a limited
time offer.

This is a very sexy cue...kind of like if a Black Boar and an old school Szam box cue got together and had a baby cue. I love, love, LOVE the finish Bob puts on his work...would love to see this cue in person under a Diamond Billiards diffused light; it must really glow!

Dean......you finally have a box cue design that even I like which is atypical since it's not my type design. This pool cue exemplifies class and elegance.

Bob......this design really is executed so amazingly well and seeing new cues you've completed never disappoints......you make it easy to do repeat business.

It really turned out beautiful

I probably will sell it
A quick call could put this in the mail to you Monday

As for Jackpots generous offer, many of you may not be familiar with Jack Potter, the
Libra cue maker from Oak Cliff

His ridiculous offer to test and evaluate my cue and charge me for it may seem
laughable to you,but it is exactly the same thing he has been doing to me for 50 years

One thing is when Jack plays my new cues,he has been known to keep them for a year or more
before returning them.Funny thing the look better than new and the shafts are so smooth

jack used to give me the 5 through 9 and the break and after some 30 years when I won a set,
he wanted to adjust, told me he would stick with a game for years and never complain, but if the other guy won 1 in a row it was time to adjust

That was when I became jack's stake horse, that turned out very good for me.then he took up golf and I was forced to sever my backing arrangement,he can not make a 3 foot putt

Jackpot, this cue is already perfect and I don't need your evaluation or shaft slicking,
Can I send you one of my Ivory Joint Schons? I won't embarrass my self by asking you to pay for it

Dean

Thanks Bob,this is every bit as nice as you said, from now on use your designs not mine.

Oh,and Matt,it is great to see your comments, you are really a great addition to Az billiards

p.s.

just send me a check and the cue is yours
name your own price

Congratulations on a fantastic looking box cue. Bob seems to have delivered several really great cues to you as of recent. This is one of my favorites!

Dean gets all the great cues. Always. It would be scary if we could line up on a table all the great cues Dean has owned.
Bob Owen, This one is a real beauty! Nice Work!

By the way, I own a cue made by Bill Stroud that is white forearm with ebony boxes. White is not ivory. You can see it in my avatar. Maybe the one you remember.

how soon we forget

Sense Dean brought it up about golf and my lack of skill putting. Dean and
I were playing Big Ed Meeks and some touring pro as I remember, and it
all came down to the last hole. Dean had already picked up naturally, and
I had a 60 or 70 foot putt over newly aireated ( or what ever they call it when
they punch big holes in the greens) green. While Dean was wringing his hands
I calmly smacked it in to the back of the hole and once more snatched
victory from the jaws of defeat for us.
Will that very well could be the cue I saw in Vagas. It was so long ago, but
it seems like Bill Cardone or maybe Ed Kelly had it. Is it Micarta. Billy made
me a cue just like that but with BEM. Billy told me it was the first cored cue.
