The inept management at the IPT caused its failure nothing more nothing less. Poor planning and execution.
Would you care to elaborate on this? Did the IPT ever have a shot at succeeding?...provided they had "ept" management?

I stood up to Deno. I was the voice for the IPT staff. Here is one example. He was in NYC at a graduation and we were told it was game time strap it on lets go. But what does he do, he goes to NYC for fun and frolic. He then has the " " to call and ask one of our staff to get him free parking. Stop what she is doing and get him free parking. It was a bad. What do you do to someone who is a potential threat to your job. You either embrace him or get rid of him. Enough said.

X IPT EXEC,

Now that you have entered the fray I was wondering if you could enlighten me/us as to when the tipping point was reached for the staff below KT/Deno? Which day was it that the staff exchanged those knowing glances at the water cooler?
From what I understand everyone who applied for an executive position was given an IQ test and only the highly intelligent would be concidered. Is there a 'fact' or an event that you could offer us that will pass the test of new information. It would be greatly appreciated as the 'non-payment' issue has been beat to death and we need new meat. There are hundreds of lurkers that keep their powder dry, not posting because the 22 of the Catch-22'ers have that duty, not that that is a bad thing...:)
I was just hoping to read something new and fresh. Be forewarned that if you do have something new and juicey that it should be of Sanskrit quality if you know what I mean....
I assume you are free and clear except for your loyalty for your x-workmates. One other thing. Do you think there is any possibility that this whole thing can be saved? Thank-you for you participation so far...

If I stand in a hotel lobby and slander someone, the hotel doesn't get sued, I do! I am very disappointed in the way this was done. I would at least think some explanation from Mike would be in order. Considering everything that has been said about KT on this forum, both good and bad, I didn't think anything that was said by this ex IPT employee was out of line. Deleting the entire thread only leaves one to wonder...what other information may have been deleted in the past before anyone caught it?

I depend on this forum for a lot of news and information I get about the pool industry. I hate to think that the information is being filtered.
Steve

TAP, TAP, TAP.....Very strong point.

My post got deleted as well the other night. I can't say I am surprised. I do not hold anyone responsible. It is call free will. What I do object to is this whole cover up of the IPT. Was it too good to be true? I think the players and staff at IPT had every good intention. Even Deno, who was the main reason for failure wanted to see the IPT become as big as the PGA. However, that being said, KT knew all along what his plans where. 1. Make a huge splash with big money aka smoke and mirrors. 2. Have a small staff but look big in the beginning. 3. Find a sucker sell them a bill of goods 4 SELL & RUN!! Well KT almost pulled it off. He left behind broken dreams and more so broken promises to thousands of people. My post was meant to tell the players in the IPT that the IPT failed because of arrogance and blatant poor management. Deno "LIL MAN" Andrews wasn’t a leader. Kevin "My new book with make you loose weight Trudeau" is a fraud. Do not blame the IPT staff or the pool community. As I said yesterday....'"POOL PLAYERS UNITE RAISE UP YOUR CUES AND TELL KT WE WILL NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!" As Jimmy Conway Said in Goodfellas You got money for those commercials.......PAY ME, TODAY!! TODAY!!

Good Luck

Once again, illuminating

Wow, I have to start surfing the board in the evenings more often. I know we like our share of drama here on AZ but this is top-notch stuff.

You said it! Makes me want to stop surfing porn so much, pull my pants up, pop some popcorn like Smorgass Bored, and watch.

Thank You mike for addressing this thread. I had only read the first few posts, way before the so called name calling began. In fact, at the time i didnt know that it had taken place. From what i gather, imo, it was completely acceptable to pull the thread.

My mind was off, wandering, dreaming up all sorts of conspiracy theories about kt or somone else exerting pressure to pull it. I am relieved that is not the case.

As far as ex-ipt, I have only one question, are you willing to cooperate with the authorities? I understand if you do not want to answer this publically, but please send me a pm, as i can use your help. I have started the ball rolling.

I'm curious to know when all the Ho merger thing started and was that really the reason for non-payment. Prove this wrong and maybe, just maybe some will have a stronger feeling about taking action and what to do about Chicago.

Ironman, i understand where you are coming from. Especially the players. Certainly, noone wants to be the first to staart a picket line. If the players draw a line in the sand, there is no turning back, and that means giving up hope that the ipt will survive.

All we know about the ho deal is what kt has told us. With that in mind, there is just as much chance the deal exists, as it doesnt. I believe he mentioned it at the reno players meeting. BTW, this isnt the first time he has PUBLICALLY mentioned that he has SOLD the ipt. LOL. Ask John Schmidt, if he's talking.

Fortunately, to file a class action suit, there only needs to be a few brave players willing to add thier names and give their depositions for it to be effective. Any player wishing to be apart of it should contact me, although at some point, the attorneys will reach out to all 200 players from reno. I already have enough players to file, so anyone not wishing to participate, well there share will be divided amongst those participating. This can go through with as few as 5 players.

The fact remains that i am not here to convince anyone of anything. I am looking out for the players without any monetary gain for myself. Either a person knows or they don't, if they are being taken for fools.

Sounds like a typical pool player though, looking for guarantees, and when they think they have the nuts, well, thier all in.

NYC Dude...<<Any player wishing to be apart of it should contact me, although at some point, the attorneys will reach out to all 200 players from reno. I already have enough players to file,>>

Make no mistake, I admire what you are doing. But you said in another thread that you are not deposable. I am sure it makes no difference to you and you might enjoy it but you certainly are subject to a deposition becuase the defense has the right to depose anyone with material knowledge about the lawsuit and how it came to be filed which clearly includes you.

Best wishes on your important and generous quest.

I felt the post reeked of BS. While I might not agree that the IPT needed as many people as I saw working in Vegas, they all seemed capable of creating a post above the 3rd grade level that was exhibited in this post.
While the person used poor judgement in verbiage and didn't use the best punctuation, they are in fact an ex IPT employee. This has been confirmed by three people... two of which were/are IPT employees.

In light of the what we now know to be blatant lies the IPT had given the players about the checks, and their utter silence for the first 30 something days, I think it's a shame that Deno continues to get the respect that he's failed to give and get threads that he doesn't like pulled.

JMO of course.

On the other hand there is other information, alleged at the time to be from IPT employees, concerning announcements of staff lay-offs due to take place last Friday which appears to have been incorrect and untrue:rolleyes:

13 people were let go on Friday.

Ah ! Sorry, didn't see that info anywhere else and just thought the subject had 'gone away'.So hard to allocate the time needed to keep up with all the threads now without endangering my seat at the local bar or my golf handicap:)

Now that I think about it, that number might not be right... for some reason now I'm thinking I might've been told 18...either way I'll confirm the exact number, but I can assure you that people were "laid off" on Friday. They were told that if the deal with Ho goes through, they might be called back. I would be very surprised if any of them would go back if called upon. That of course is JMO.

WOW----when STEVE TIPTON ran and grew the LADIES tour he was a ONE man show for many years. The last couple of years he was at the helm he had an associate(HERB)----not the kind some smoke. What makes that more remarkable is many of those years were before instantanious internet communication.

Wonder what the R*&T and the K*&T were thinking when they built the team???? Another question for the X IPT EXEC.....::)

I hope you pointed them in this direction?! I'm sure there's several hundred pool players that wouldn't mind some insider info about now?

If I'm not mistaken, Steve ran the tournaments. He was not involved in the marketing of the tour, accounting, lining up sponsorship, setting dates, securing locations, setting up a series of qualifiers, maintaining player stats, keeping up with IRS paperwork, running the web-site, or any of the other behind the scenes activities required to take on a project of the magnitude of the IPT. There is a lot more to running a tour than just keeping up the brackets and calling good or bad shots.

It wouldn't be of any use to point them in this direction. Deno would just call Mike and ask him to take it down. They're not going to have much of anything good to say about Deno and Mike has already stated that's one of the reasons he took the other post down. Two of the employees laid off have said that most of the people let go were people that didn't get along with Deno. Take that for what it's worth... I take it at face value because I know how pompous he acts.

I think if one of these employee's has any info on something we don't know about but would give us insight into the stability or lack of stability in the IPT, they should come on here. Only problem is, their voice wouldn't get heard because Deno would put a call in to get it removed.
