What are your thoughts of a lil mini-tourney with the top 4 votes ? that way the fans are still involved but it would still have to be earned on the table.
 
I would like that! A long race! that way it's not a short crap shoot that anyone can win. I would even prefer ahead set but that takes a lot of time.

I thought a round robin format with all 8 players would have been better then the voting process, that way may the best man win. :smile:

I kinda figured you would..& lets face it..by voting on the computer..how do we know that it's 100% on the square...theres people already coming on here & saying they voted mutiple time


A lil story that's has same meaning is The last election we had for senator down here..won 't mention names to protect parties envolved but 1 of my best friend's best friend was in a run off with this other guy & my friend was real busy shuffling Crackheads & homeless people back his truck come election day paying them all with a 2 dollar bill & a plate lunch....our friend won by a few hundred votes...Was our guy truly qualified & was a good choice ? most deffinately..would he have won without my buddies help ?..maybe but it would have been tight...was the other candidate doing the same ? dont know...Am i glad that our guy won ? you Bet...never know when you need a political favor..Point of story is anything allowed with just votes can be pursuaded 1 way or another & with playing for the last spot in leaves no doubt who the most deserving would be...Just my thoughts on it.
 
As far as I'm concerned Dennis and Rodney are dead even. Dennis has been playing well lately, but Rodney has been a very solid performer at the Mosconi. I want to vote for Rodney because he's such a great ambassador for pool who's always a class act but still has fire in his eyes...I would not let this weigh heavily in my vote except that I can't determine who's the better player. I want to vote for Dennis because he's never been to a Mosconi and I love his aggressive play...they really should have had a tournament decide this -I don't think the popular person should just cruise. I'm just gonna vote a couple times for both of them...

i don't like the way this is done but what the heck...

i think it should be a vote by their own peers (US pro players)

who's to say that a bunch of european's aren't sitting by their computers swaying the vote for someone "they'd" love to see on the US team? i hope people have the sense not to do something like that.

maybe i'm way off base in saying this but whatever, jsut my .02 cents

i'd like to see hillbilly or hatch on the team, but seeing as how this is hatch's thread........GO HATCH!!! TO THE TOP!!!
