I think you'll have trouble selling the Searing cue on ebay. I did a search for pool cue and there was no listing for a searing cue and that's because the words pool and/or cue are not in the title of the auction. How is anybody going to find the cue?

I typed "searing" and "dennis searing"and they both popped up. I didn't have any problems.

On the pic's of the Richard Black, the 12.95 mm ferrule appears to A LOT smaller than the 13.03 mm?

Of course. But what if a fella was shopping ebay for high end cues. He'd search under pool cue and have the search list the cues high price first. If the cue was listed properly, with the words pool cue in the title, then he'd find that Searing on the first page of the search. The way it's listed now he'd never know it was for sale.

The way it is now the only way this Searing gets found is if a potential customer is looking only for a Searing. Without the words pool cue in the auction title you're missing out on a lot of potential buyers who search daily under pool cue to see what is available in high end cues.

I'm not complaining.... just trying to help you sell your cue. I've been buying and selling stuff on ebay for about 5 years and have bought and sold over 300 things so I'm just advising you from my experience that if you want to sell a pool cue on ebay then you use the words pool cue in your auction title so people can find it.

Not true in the least..... there are MANY ways to find cues w/o searching by name.

I have a search that I run to see what interests me.

criteria - -carved -minnesota -jump -miranda -majestic -free -kc -viper -action -mizerak -harvard -eliminator -mcdermott -meucci -viking -predator -perry -l2000 -pechuar -jarvis -lucasi -cuetec -pechauer -imperial -falcon -retail -fury -fiberglass -nfl -fibreglass -graphite -scorpion -players -mali

I never type pool cue, just cue. I have found that works best on ebay
I search for cue too but you wouldn't find his Searing if you searched for cue. Very few potential buyers will find it the way it's listed. That's all I'm saying.

Hey.... The guy is brand new to ebay. I'm just giving him a heads up. Why are you bustin my balls for trying to help the guy?

Edit: Sorry.. it was Roscoe that seemed to be telling me I was leading the guy astray and I'm in a sensitive mood I guess and took it as ball bustin.

So.. ok there's lots of ways to seacrh for a cue but if you want to sell one the best way is to have the words pool and billiards and cue in the listing title.

I aint bidding on a dufferin for 2200 and don't care who did it I would spend that ordering a new custom from Dennis, by the way is the guy Blackjack was wanting to catch out somewhere? --Leonard

I go to Sporting Goods/Billiards/Cues and then look at all cues by "highest price first". That gets rid of all the crap.

Yup...that way works best for me too. Just bookmark, refresh, highest price first.
