Dennis vs Ko, race to 100, 20K.

One figure that might be interesting at the end of this is how many times they were tied. It sure seems like a lot (but I'm too lazy to got back over all the posts and count).

Well, the accounts are not complete, but the ties I see were at the following scores:

3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26. 27, 33, 34, 46, 49, 50, 51, 54, 55, 56, and 64.

The missing info would allow for a maximum of 5 additional ties, all early on Day 1.

So it has been tied somewhere from 25 to 30 times so far.

AtLarge is (or remains) the man. At least 25 tied scores so far. Amazing.

Based on the game-by-game accounts in this thread, Ko's largest lead was 3 games, at 23-20 after he won 5 games in a row (of which either the last 3 or the last 4, depending on the poster, were B&R's).

Orcollo has led by 5 three times -- at 33-28, 44-39, and 45-40.

I see that the breaker lost 10 games in a row near the end of the second day -- Games 118-127.

[I did not watch the first two days, but I may be able to watch tonight.]

My mistake, it was 5 games in a row won by KO, which you are right gave him a 3 game lead.

Dennis played really bad yesterday. Missed a lot of straight in shots and several were on the 10 Ball. Its amazing that he is still 2 games ahead.

Sounds like a tough grind for Dennis. He keeps getting a lead and can never keep it or pull away.

Well KO has also had the lead and not kept it. What I find impressive was what Jay Helfert pointed out, that after trailing by 3 at 23-20 Dennis was up 13 to 5 for the rest of day one. It seems many aren't giving Dennis a chance, which I don't understand for the life of me.

During the time I was watching, they both went through stretches where they played "really bad" (for them). A tight table and long, long sessions must make it hard to play every rack like a world beater.

you can't go by just the 4" pockets if that's the case...

I believe that someone said that they are playing on table 2. They just moved it into it's current location for the match.

Not only does that table have 4" pockets, they have wide facing angles, very common to reject balls... It's a tough table...

We are ready to rock and roll
Dennis won Day 1 33-28
Ko won Day 2 36-33

Ko has had more B&R. Dennis has lead most of match by as much as 5 racks
So far they are staying close by 5 racks or less- 5 racks is like 1 rack in race to 20 so it is still pretty even
I think Ko may just snap this close to finish line since he is breaking better

Yeah, I was there last night, this table is crazy tough, definitely tougher than the TAR studio table was back in the day.

Dennis breaks wet. Nice 1-4 combo and cuts on 1 and 2. But hits on the point
Ko plays safe and Dennis sells out. Ko runs out to trail 65-67
