Derby City 2012 & AZB

We will be discussing this with our friends at Diamond as soon as the holidays are over. We expect to continue the tradition but there a couple of bumps in the road that need to be ironed out.

jerry, i hope one of those bumps includes,
how to keep the guys off the tables that dont belong there
after that fiasco two years ago,
i havent paid another $25 to watch people that didnt pay.
if that issue was resolved, i'd be happy to again

Hopefully those bumps will get ironed out, and there will be an AZB Room.

I will certainly contribute even though I will be very busy working at the booth and at the poker table.

That is always an issue, plus the 1 pocket challenge keeps a table tied up for a couple of days. Have not heard from Steve Lomako this year, he usually takes up the money. I hate to say it, but with all the outsiders that come into the room and play, I don't know if I will sign up this year for the room. I will be going into the room and talking to all of you AZers, I really like meeting everyone. tom

Over at OnePocket.org there has been a suggestion of wrist bands to help with the policing. It would also help if there was a printed list of User Names available to refer to. Then, there is the job of enforcing the "paid members only" rule.

From what I have seen of Jay's One Pocket challenge, although it does tie up one or sometimes two of the tables for a couple nights, members really seem to enjoy watching these guys like, Gabe, Corey, Alex, Efren, etc., try to run racks into one hole, so I don't see that as much of an issue myself. If others do, we could certainly ask Jay if it would be possible to confine to one of the two tables for the challenge, so the other would still be open all the time.

The $25 is a good deal especially if you like to play and will be there for a few days. Even if you don't play that much, it is always good to drop in and meet fellow members of AZB & OnePocket.org.
