This is what I noticed immediately.It's interesting that the average times of the matches are so close, and the nine ball and one pocket are almost equal.
Every year one pocket gets blamed for the length of the tournament, when it turns out one pocket average match length is no longer than 9 ball. I do think a few years ago, when DCC went to the tiny pockets, all matches went longer and sometimes especially close one pocket matches, because close matches came down to long rail banks into tiny pockets.
In any event, to me this suggests that allowing 1500 banks and 9 ball players contributes more to time overruns than the occasional long one pocket match.
