Derby City 2026 Misc. stats and such

It's interesting that the average times of the matches are so close, and the nine ball and one pocket are almost equal.
This is what I noticed immediately.

Every year one pocket gets blamed for the length of the tournament, when it turns out one pocket average match length is no longer than 9 ball. I do think a few years ago, when DCC went to the tiny pockets, all matches went longer and sometimes especially close one pocket matches, because close matches came down to long rail banks into tiny pockets.

In any event, to me this suggests that allowing 1500 banks and 9 ball players contributes more to time overruns than the occasional long one pocket match.

Does this take into account the later rounds when there simply aren't that many matches to be played or are we talking mostly about rounds 1-5 range when there's loads of matches in the queue? Interesting there would be that much wasted time.
In the latter rounds of banks and one pocket, they can start matches from the next event, so they can keep the tables busy. I'm sure it takes some juggling, but when you have about 200 matches in the first round of one pocket, there have to be some pairs that are not still in the tail end of banks.
