Rick, your sketches are better than EVER. I like the Hennessey sketches.
I could see your sketches in pool rooms around the country. Yes, that's it. Print them up and install them in economical but simple black frames and sell them to the pool rooms. OK, don't forget to send my vigorish.

I'm confused. Isn't this just a combination of Photoshop filters?

Either way, the end result does look really great. + Rep.

i was wondering the same thing

Rick's "sketches"

I seem to recall that Rick goes through a couple of hundred steps in Photoshop to produce this result. Now there may be a way to produce similar results with many fewer steps, but that's a debate for another time.

Rick, John Brumback showed me the two images he bought from you and they were very impressive. He said he was a little embarrassed buying pictures of himself, but I told him that since DCC doesn't give out trophies or plaques, he needed something to commemorate his great week there and your sketches filled the bill.

When he says sketches, he's referring to the final feel of his Photoshop output. I think I might be able to come close just by looking at the output but make no mistake - he's a talented guy.

Rick, can I send you a photo to sketch-up?

Exactly right, Bill.

If there is a easier way these days, please fill me in. It would save me a bunch of hours. It's taken me 8 yrs to develop the process I use. It's by no means a 'click a button' thing. Lot's of tedious hand work involved as well.

I'm glad John liked them. He asked about getting a copy just as soon as saw the original I did. And he was sitting with Shannon+Marge who told him "You GOT to get one of those". (thanks guys!)

So I printed them both for him, and gave him a good deal. He really just paid for expenses.

He's a nice guy, and I was rooting for him, or Hennessee to win the all around.

Thanks

Rick

Sure you can....I'm super busy right now, but I'll get to it sometime here soon.

You got me curious....You try your 'sketch' on the same photo you send me. And then we'll compare the final results.

THANKS!!

Rick,

Trust me - it won't be as good. You're really talented.
