Anyone have a hotel floor for rent? I want to watch the final few days. I have never been to anything like this and its the closest to me of all the big events. I live about 4 hours from the event. I am just trying to figure out a way to afford it on a shoestring budget. Any ideas?
 
If you are driving there I am sure you can get a cheap hotel in Louisville or around the area. I know some guys that stay at a hotel and check in at 7am and it is like getting 2 nights for the price of 1. Just a thought.

I don't consider renting a whole floor to be on a shoe string budget:shocked2: but then I guess it depends on your base.
 
there is a hotel across the river ................. motel 8 32 a night its actually not that bad cant beat it and its bout 10 minute drive depending on traffic

A sleeping bag on someone's floor I figured would be cheapest and only plan to be there to sleep and shower. I figured someone else might be tight for funds and could use a few dollars. Thats why I figured it was on a shoestring budget. If it were warm I might would have slept in my truck.

I am going to check on the motel 8 ($32 is cheap enough) and even then I would be willing to let someone have the other bed if they needed it.

Any more info on that Super 8 hotel? closest I see is 21 miles away and the want $60 a night. Distance is a problem but I am looking for that $32

Look for rooms in New Albany, IN. Only about 15 minutes away as I recall.

I thought you wanted to rent the whole floor of the hotel. I now understand that you want to camp out on the floor of a room. :banghead:
