Won by AZB's own....Mr. Jimmy Mendoza! Congratulations on a big win! It truly was an awesome set!! You made some great shots, and deserved to win. That 9 ball bank (short shot) was AMAZING!!

Mitch made another spectacular run, just barely falling short. You can see how he carries the name "Young Gun'. A lot of firepower when he's rolling!

Man that guy hasn't changed in 15 years, well he doesn't have the tupperware-hair anymore but that's about it. Great shooting Jimmy!!
 
Thanks Rick! I probably would have played safe on that 9-ball on a 9' table, but the best I could have done was to leave Mitch a long-rail bank, and the kid doesn't miss many of those on the bar table! I was on a bit of a roll at the time, so I figured I'd take a swing at it.

Thanks for coming out this weekend and, as always, the pictures look great.

In case you didn't see the other posts on here, the next event has been moved to Bullshooters (formerly Sixshooters). The dates are the same (8/23 - 8/24) and it's still 9-ball on the 9' tables. I'd say "see you there", but I'm going to have to miss that event. See you at the September event. :)

We didn't have cell phone cameras back then and unlike my other Japanese brethren I didn't have a Minolta stuck to my chest while walking around. But I have a good mental picture of your gelled back hair looking like Butch Patrick from the Munsters (who actually used to go to Hard Times Bellflower).
