Deuel vs Schmidt one pocket on TAR

I'm confused about something here ...

Don't whine, don't complain, but be exciting. Act out, freak out, we'll love ya!

But people love the composure of guys like Orcullo?

So ... your dream match is cue-smashing off the table, lighting crap on fire, screaming, yelling, and fisticuffs with the crowd while you have an opponent like Dennis who fades all of it, wins the day and then smacks his own cue off of the opponent's skull during the handshake?

Seriously ... I'm trying to figure out the right mix.

Crying like a little girl who just lost her favorite barbie doll is not the correct mix.

Talking smack and wanting to bet is great.

But constantly lementing about bad rolls and on and on and on is no good...

I don't think it was a, "move", I think John was just, as you put it, lamenting. I've been in the situation where nothing was working and expressed frustration too because I knew I could do better. I generally don't say much when I play because I know it's annoying, having been on both sides.

It's the same reason I don't slap my cue off the table. It's expensive, doesn't help, and looks foolish to me. But that's why I ask for other opinions ... what exactly do viewers in America want? I know what European and international players like already. America is a little different so it doesn't just serve me, but streamers, organizers, and sponsors what people want to see.

Except a bank shot isn't a straight in shot at 3 diamonds from your hole :P

Corey has been shooting at everything he can while John is ducking with ball in hand with a ball on the spot.
Yeah, I was a fan if John's until I watched the eight ball and the one pocket sets

What a miserable loser. I am impressed that Corey hasn't hit him with a cue yet

I just answered your rhetorical question. No one likes a big cry baby. But tough guy talking sh!t like Hatch, or acting funny like Timmy Heath, or straight gangster come with it like SVB or Mike Sigel chatty, or UJ Puckett with the hat, or Pretty Boy Floyd chattering or even Earl going straight crazy on the crowd. But to cry about a bad rolls and momentum not going your way is not what anyone wants to hear. Especially on a continuous basis. Ok, say it once and then shut up.

NO CRYING!!!

Wow. Never fell asleep during a TAR match before, but last I remember it was final game and Schmitty was up 4-1 or so...then I woke up in the La-Z-Boy and it was light outside...

BTW, I want whatever they put on, as long as it isn't scripted. Thanks for the livestream, TAR.

I got tired of hearing John crying all night long and Corey showed his class and respect to John all night long. I think this is the last ppv I'll buy with Schmidt being involved...he just cried all night long about everything..while Corey was shooting also......then said...come on Corey...you can bet some money. I give props to Corey for handling the situation the way he did. I wonder what John would say if he sat down and watched this match afterwards and saw what a whiner he was.
He sure wasn't acting like the Professional Player he is supposed to be. This is only my opinion and I wonder if anyone had the same thoughts as I did. I always respected John as a Pro Player, but he sure showed the other side last night.

I agree 100%, he used it as a move and is probably proud of the fact that it worked. I am fine with the whining during his turn at the table, we all get frustrated when things don't go well or we play bad. However, I absolutely hate it when someone cries while their opponent is at the table, at least respect your opponent.

I think it was a move. I also thought the way he talked to Corey when Corey said something as he was about to shoot, after John had been doing it for 3+ games on every shot, was incredibly rude and uncalled for.

He also said "You pros," as if he wasn't a pro. Sorry, I'm gonna' call a tool a tool:

John Schmidt is a total tool.

Corey did say something at one point to the effect of, "I don't that on your shot, Jeez", then stood up, said, "you got me all flustered", walked away, washed his hands, and came back.

Hatch was funny, I agree. I was waiting for him to snap.

what exactly do viewers in America want?

Are the wishes of the Americans that much different then the Canadians?

Why are you so "Country of origin" biased?

Mostly because there is a world of difference if I drive an hour south. You'd be surprised how different things are. I've lived all over the world and it's interesting how much opinions change when you cross an imaginary line on a map.

I think if both players sit there like stiffs, it's boring. It's exactly what John said during the podcast. When you have two guys who act like Jeeves, you're killing the game.

I couldn't agree more and John is what is making this match so exciting. This table I believe just wears on you and I enjoyed John sharing his feelings while playing, good and bad. I think he plays with a lot of passion for the game and I don't call it whining. He speaks his mind and I think it adds color to the match and excitement. Earl is a whiner, this is entertainment. I agree also that Corey is a class act and a great player and these 2 together are a perfect contrast of styles and personalities, and that is what gives you your monies worth. I personally don't like watching 2 dead heads playing pool. John wears his heart on his sleave true, but I like him and love to watch him play. I think he comes with some really funny comments and is really creative in 1 pkt, which isn't mentioned by the haters of course. The last 2 times I've watched his money matches the level of play was sky high and very entertaining!! Good luck to both players today. Nice comeback John, most players would have thrown in the towel there, way to fight like a champion. Infinate respect and good luck!!!!!

We must have watched a different match. I know you are friends with John and all. But you didn't think his crying was annoying?

Wow. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. John was so bad that I'm barely interested in watching tonight's TAR, and I paid for all three days.

......it was more than annoying then people get on about mikka...right cry baby

After watching john mic'ed up, I think Danny Harriman wasn't so off the wall with his dislike for John. I tell you, It does show a lot about corey composure though. As mentioned already, I'm suprised he never took a cue to John.

I also though it was very disrespectful to TAR to for John to bash the equiptment so bad. They invited you into their home, are paying you to stay the night and you b@tch about the bed they gave you.

Tar will listen though.

Mumbling how Corey is the "luckiest mother****er in the world", isn't whining to you? C'mon... John talked (and sang) while Corey was at the table and he walked around the table while Corey was lining up shots. Corey sat in his chair silently all night with the exception of the 12th game where Corey told him he "deserved" that bad roll. Corey was out of line there as well, but Corey did it once all night...John did it constantly.

Yes, he is a friend and no I didn't have any money bet on Corey:-) Should be a good one today. Maybe turn down your sound and just watch, they are both playing pretty good for the tough conditions........
