Deuel vs Schmidt one pocket on TAR

Do any of you hear that?

If you really listen, you can hear John laughing at Danny all the way to the bank.

What's that John? You won that match against Gentile a few weeks ago? And you beat Corey? Wow! What's Harriman been up to?

Hello?

Anyone?

He spends his time writing negative posts about John on AZ. And *****ing about the state of pool and how he was screwed by the evil forces that have cheated him. A vary well adjusted man. LOL

I did not watch Justin's drama show, they are playing on the west coast (where schmidt is from - favortism). Ken Schunamen who worships Schmidt is the ref? definitley favortism. Justin will allow Schmidt to act any ol' way he wants - drama. Some just never grow out of their drama act, they see that when there little that crying will help them get what they want. Schmidt's crying is intensley annoying, it is my opinion that Justin allows the TAR players to act like this cause maybe he secretly wants them to look bad. I know this sound weird but some people never made it as a pool player, they are a little bitter from this fact and so they want to get back at the sport. This may or may not be accurate, maybe he grew up in a house hold where there was much drama. Either way there has to be some explanation why he persists on allowingthe players (like Schmidt and others to act in an unsportsman-like manner). I have a question to anyone affiliated with TAR and the way they intend to promote our sport of pocket billiards. Is it TAR agenda to promote a pool match up as an exhibition match or a gambling match, I can assure yall' there is a huge difference between the two. From what I have seen they prefer the hustler/gambling style if that makes any sense at all. In an exhibition match a player will be fined for acting out in an unsportsman-like manner, I think Corey understands now that there are no rules in TAR's agenda and John's sharking tactics.

Wow never saw this post coming.

All of the above is why they should have someone like Bartram, JJ, Shuff or Oscar play John next, not you....

Would rather see any of these 3 guys instead of Harriman. Besides he wants to get paid to much money for losing?? He brings way more drama than Schmidt could ever muster up. Great player but a little toolish......

professionalism

I am not fond of lowering the bet, again if they want our game to ever seem respectful then they need to watch promoters who are able to market pool in a positive way. Again I think TAR's agenda needs some polishing, and it is still no secret to me how John Schmidt acts towards his opponent if he fears losing. He calls you names, swipes chalk off the table in his opponents direction, and if all of this fails he simply will stop play and argue about the rules. There is no end to his coward-like attitude, still some people think this is entertaining - it's my opinion that these are the people we need far away from pool. All I can say is Corey must have been very bored to want to fiddle with Schmidt and his sharking tactics - however I don't think that Corey thought Schmidt would act in the manner he did during the One Pocket leg. It's a shame that he has to be that way cause he is a great player, but again I think under a more professional format that Schmidt will not be able to try and aggetate his opponent. Under this format Schmidt's sharking and belligerent manner towards trying to irritate his opponent would be put on hold - this in my view would take away a huge part of Schmidt's sharking arsenal.

I don't think its that simple. These 2 guys didn't just meet at the poolhall and start
gambling,it was promoted(like a tournament would be). I think being
a true sportsman has nothing to do with if its a tournament or not
but has more to do with respecting the game as well as your opponent.

Excellent post however it contradicts your first post alot.:o

... He calls you names, swipes chalk off the table in his opponents direction...

Saw him snatch chalk while Corey was clearly surveying and evaluating the table at least ten times, always slowly/late. Hell, he walked over to ken more than once and had a damn conversation with him while Corey was about to shoot. I know the goal is an informal cool action room but Jesus, what were they thinking? I personally hate hearing people mumble about what I should do/will do when I prepare to execute, its a shark as bad or worse than a camera flash. Piss poor sportsmanship, for damn sure. What twisted hollow people find that "entertaining." The man's an ass, no two ways about it.

My how time seems to change things. Before John left So Cal in approx the mid 90's he was a totally different person. He was playing at Hard Times in Bellflower and losing 1000's to Morro at night and losing 100's to Jack Cooney in the afternoons as he learned One Pocket. He never *****ed or moaned and readily admitted he simply had a mental block with Morro that he quickly broke through and began to thump Morro on a regular basis. He understood that with Jack he was paying for learning and eventually Jack would not spot John. He would lose literally 1000's and disappear for a few days or a week and then show back up and jump right back in and never complained. He absolutely had a ton of heart and a great attitude and was always smiling. I don't know where this new John came from but about a week before his matchup with Corey he played in a 1 Hole tournament in So. Calif. His 1st match was against a good local, One Pocket Richie, out of House of Billiards in Sta Monica. Richie was up and on the hill when John missed a bank and in a snit swept the balls off the table with Richie still needing 4 balls. I don't know what happened to John while he was on the East Coast but he needs to find the old John because this John is a jerk. JMO
