The sh*thole of a place that I have been shooting out of is going downhill at an incredibly fast pace. The tables are getting crappier by the week and the air-conditioning SUCKS!!! Funny thing is, I heard that the owner of Whittens also owns the poolhall I've been shooting out of (hint: It's in Euless).

I may have to make a change in scenery. Tell me more about the 1-pocket games. Are there any players there during the daytime?

About time

Will have to check it out. Predict a mass exodus from Volcanos if its true. This part of Texas has been dying for a good pool hall with good 9 foot tables.

My bad. I got my W's crossed. The place that owns the other poolhall than the one I frequent is named Wilhoit's (correct spelling???).

I would be very interested in playing on Saturdays, any kinds of games but prefer straight pool.

I can probably walk there from my shop at: 440 W. Pipeline Rd.
 
wittens is a different place

i just called Wittens to find out about their "other room" around here and they said there wasn't another room.

So, other room mentioned, the "hole" you mentioned is owned by someone else.

I was going to Volcanoes almost every week. But the smoke was unbearable. I went home smelling like a dirty wet sock. Doubtful the smokers know how nasty it is...

Witten's is a non-smoking room. I'm guessing the same thing will happen in Hurst that happened in NYC and many other non-smoking states. The heavy smokers will moan and whine, and business might be hit just a little, but over time more people will show up, including families who avoid the nasty smoke filled poolrooms.

I stopped going to Volcanoes because of the smoke. It became unbearable! Thanks for the info on Whittens. I will check it out. How many tables do they have?
