Diamond 2-pocket 1-pocket table?

I recall there was some equipment that blocked the holes in a table so you can play some sort of 3C game on a regular pool table. I don't know if that stuff is around now or now, but using them on a regular table to block 4 pockets would get the same effect, granted with a bit more slop in the fitting.

The equipment was basically wodden blocks with an adjustment screw or 2, with some cushion material on the face. Would probably not be that hard to make even if the official item is not available.

Viola !

These new tables with only two corner pockets would cut my 'scratches' in HALF.

( I would probably only owe 4 or 5 balls per games ) :)

Seems like Derby City would be the proper place for one of these. I wouldn't mind seeing Efren and Alex play a match or twelve on one of those tables.

I think it would be cool to try out though. I hear tell some people play a game on tables without any pockets. :)

I guess that the general consensus is that the game would not be "better or worse" but just "different". It would be something new.

According to an earlier post, it isn't even a new thing. It is a "corners" table of sorts.

I still wouldn't mind seeing the Diamond version of this table.

Thanks for all the replies btw.

Yes, it's true, one room is in the Chicago area, one is in the Las Angeles area, and the last is in the Seattle area.

This is a pretty cool table,I think its a actually refreshing for the game of one pocket and would like to see some top players play on it,any pics of the Diamonds that look like this? :)

As of right now, there are no Diamond ProAms like this yet, everyone's going to have to wait until I get back east, and can spend some time at the Diamond factory for a while, then we'll have the chance to build the rails that fit the ProAm for one pocket.

ain't much fun

I played nine ball for twelve hours on a table with no pockets once. Boring!

What I really hated was not making a ball in twelve hours! Of course that is only slightly worse than when I first tried snooker on an old golf table having never played on any snooker table before. The fees for the tables were two-bits a game or by the hour. After I was finished I walked over to the counter. "I'll pay by the hour, I'm not admitting how many games I played in two hours!"
