Diamond 9' 3c table

... since its smaller, I should be able to make more points, right?

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but when I visited Heinrich Weingartner's billiard club in Vienna (for balkline lessons), until a player could average 0.5 on the small table (about 9') at 3C, he was not allowed to play on the "match" (10') tables.

Austria holds competitions on both sizes of tables (or used to). I was told that at 3C the difference in average was maybe 30%? I have tried 3C on a table that was about 6 feet and things were a little crowded and there was a lot of kissing. I guess you would learn to play shots that can't kiss.

thats what ive read somewhere that before tournaments some pros will practice on little tables to help them see and avoid kisses as much
 
You can practice 3C on a 9ft Diamond billiards table, only, it won't have the Rapide 300 billiards cloth on it, instead, it'll have the Simonis 860HR which is considerably slower as that the cloth choice for straight rail billiards.
