A couple of observations. It seems like half the matches are going 7-6 first of all, so they are long matches. Hats off to Chris Robinson who is breaking through with his best performance yet in a major event. Looks like he has made himself into a world class player! Very bothersome to me that all these players played 11:30 PM matches, some ending after 1 AM and yet they all have to play back at 10 AM! Not only that, they must play continuously all day today without breaks between matches. I'm sorry but that is some pretty poor scheduling imo. There has to be a way this could have been scheduled differently so this is not an endurance contest on the last two days. These guys have to be worn out and they are playing today with too little rest. Big advantage here to the youngest and strongest players.

We are going to be watching some very weary pool players (mentally and physically) going at it today. They are going to have to dig deep to win this one. It will be especially tough for anyone on the losers side to get there since they won't get any breaks all day. At least on the winners side the final two undefeated players will get a long break after they play (and survive) their first two matches. Big advantage here!

It's a shame to see it end this way, when they had such a great field of players and some pretty decent prize money. 17K on top is not bad for the "preliminary" event. One other thing. Professional pool might be the only sport playing next week in the entire country. Everything else has shut down! I wish the best for all these guys and the amateur players who are there. I hope to God none of them come down with the Corona virus, which is everywhere now, including Nevada whether they publicize that fact or not.

Jay, us guyz been around worse stuff in and around a pool room than this, that's for sure!

Alternating break is a nice change. Punishes every mistake. Kind of like tennis in that way, having to win on opponents serve to comeback.

Bergman dogged and looked dog tired. I always pull for him. He has so much talent.

Should be a great day of pool. today.

Can't fathom why Vegas still operating. Our casinos all open here , even with a NY State ban on gatherings over 500?? There's a run in the stores... Shelves bare in many.

So, does ESPN show up to report the news;
the brave, diligent, focused and determined,
or
does ESPN show up to create some news by spreading the virus?
How dare these players not do what we say, I mean, what else do they have...

By mid week it will be fine.
Lot of folks shop on weekends, many with the money are hoarding.
So long as good production and delivery is unaffected this is very temporary.
We are self quarantining this weekend. Gonna sit in the couch all day and have pancakes for dinner.
Next time I go out will buy a little extra.
I'm no survivalist but dam sure can live in a teepee. Just hope I can fit a table in there.

Yes, crazy and a real endurance test.
The remaining 8 on Losers side have to play and win consecutive 6 matches non stop (from 10am to 530pm final) to win title. Means they would be playing 60 to 70 games non stop
On Winners side, if any of remaining 4 lose first match at 10am , they need to win 5 matches in a row

Any news as to when the CSI streaming will start today?
No news from CSI yet
May have to go with plan B , Roys basement for early matches since Aranas and Orcollo from his stable are playing :)

Why is CSI always so disorganized? The never post the Stream Schedule in advance. The announcers are never told what stream is next. Fans are constantly scrambling trying to find the matches. And no one uses Facebook anymore. Sad.

But no news about when CSI streams will start. Geesh!

Top notch streaming and commentary with world class players for free! I am grateful and also agree with you it would be helpful and easier to watch if there was a streaming schedule or announcements out there.

So, what's the problem?

Have you ever played in marathon gambling matches?

I've played for a couple days in a row, non-stop, around the clock.

I don't see a problem.

Just what the fans want to see - tired, strung-out pros hoping against hope they don't have coronavirus and playing worse than usual in the process
