So what is the rule? Are they not allowed to play the 10 ball early even if they call it, or did he fail to call it? JJ obviously thought the game should have gone to the other player.
10b has to go last for the win. If its legally pocketed early it spots and player continues. In Daz's case he could have called the 10b, spotted it, and kept shooting. At least that's how i read the rules. So what is the rule? Are they not allowed to play the 10 ball early even if they call it, or did he fail to call it? No early wins on the 10-ball. You can call the 10 on a combo or carom and make it, but it is spotted and you continue play. That's part of the world-standardized rules now.
WPA rules as of '17 allow you to pocket the 10b, legally of course, spot it and continue shooting. 10b has to be made last for the win. Darren could have called the combo, spot it up and kept shooting. He thought he'd won. Nope.no early 10-balls. both darren and sky seemed to have missed that information..
another thing: hang that template under the table or put it away. darren placed it on the rail, half hanging down, and the cue ball grazed it. where i play it's a foul. little known rule, but still a foul.
