I am looking to purchase a diamond pro or pro am if price is right. If I get an older pro what would it cost to have the new design rails fitted to it?

Yes...they can...but only by someone that knows what to do.
I asked a similar question about this in this subforum ealier. You can read Glenn's response and the discussion here.
After playing on the new designed diamond's at the DCC this year, I decided not to change. Would it be better? Yes. Is it worth the cost for me at this time? No. Now if and when the rail rubber on my table starts to deteriorate, then I'll look to have the rails upgraded to the current spec.

They are around here in the DFW area. The bad part is that some people either want way too much or they just don't advertise that they are trying to get rid of theirs. I searched for months and was about to spend more than I wanted until I was just casually talking with a guy that I play with about getting one for the new house. He mentioned he was trying to unload his, light and all, for a more than reasonable price. Snatched it up in a heartbeat. I'd contact Shane, cuephoric, and see if he knows of anyone trying to unload one. Sorry, but mine is not for sale.
