Diamond product improvements

This is really minor and it is an issue I plan on addressing on my own.

In most rooms the lighting is extremely dim and especially inside the ball return. I wish there was an option to include lighting in the area. Something like a short string of LED lights that could be activated or even some reliable "glow in the dark" strips to produce light in that area. I find myself digging for the cue ball a lot on a pro am when I play 8-ball.

Thoughts? How do you improve on something so close to perfect.

Diamond can't help in this area of request, as they are still doing research & development on pockects that will eliminate all missed shots, but when they get that project finished I'll see if they have time to work out the problem of finding the balls for the blind next:thumbup:

I'll help Diamond on this project with some basic physics and geometry: pocketing ability is a direct function of pocket size; eliminate the rails and make all the sides into pockets. One big pocket around the entire table, like one of those edgeless swimming pools.

Problem solved. Glad I could help, but I'm really surprised they couldn't figure this out on their own.

I think this idea might be a little over the top. With all due respect I am thinking that this might be a better idea.

You EVER trade out your Diamond for THAT table, lose my phone number before you call me to recover it with new cloth....LMAO

I love my GC2 9 footer......but a Diamond aint chopped liver either.....as far as losing balls in the dark, I can't help you there.

Look at it this way, Diamond tables are so GOOD, this is the biggest complaint that the OP could come up with.

I think that's pretty telling as to how nice Diamond products are.

Truthfully, he doesn't have a bad idea/suggestion.

Agree

i would say diamonds are preferred 10 to 1 over gold growns by players

I have written this before. I was debating in 1999/2000 what kind of table to buy, while at the US Open ( they were still using Gold Crowns ) I asked every top player what their table preference was, the ones that did not pick Diamonds said it did not matter much. I would say it was 90 % for Diamond.

But then, batteries and lights would have to added to the production cost, which in turn would increase the cost of the tables....for everyone;)
