Diamond table material choices. Dymondwood & Dymalux

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of purchasing a Diamond table and i'm having a nightmare on what materials are available and what they even look like on a diamond table.

As far as I am aware, Dymondwood is no longer available on new tables and has been switched to Dymalux? If so, what finishes are available in Dymalux? Is it just Rosewood or have other options been added?

I was interested in Walnut but I don't want oak stained Walnut, i'd rather have dymondwood or dymalux walnut.
Ontop of that I don't know what each finish looks like on each different material. I've gone over a number of websites but they don't seem to have updated pictures for the new material and Diamond don't fully list what is available and don't have full picture examples.

Could anybody help me out please?

Did you ever think of contacting Diamond directly with your questions? I've owned a pro-am for years and they answer all my questions anytime I've called, regardless of the subject matter.

Update:
I got in touch with Diamond to see if they could clear a few things out with me.
Seems I was right about them now having any dymondwood for new tables. I think you can only get rosewood in dymalux now and everything else is either oak or maple stained + the black plastic one.
However... They have thrown a curveball at me and offered me a used table in dymondwood Cherry. For the life of me I can't find a single picture of a dymondwood cherry table. I didn't know they even did cherry apart from a maple or oak stain. Does anyone have a picture or link to a cherry dymondwood table? I think they might of made a mistake and they meant rosewood

I wouldn't call the PRC version"plastic". Ever seen one? They are really sweet and tough as hell. With the chrome feet they are really good looking tables.
 
I think that is what is displayed at the DCC.

It would be my first pick, but I like the Oak ones too.

So I might not be a good judge on your tastes.

I couldn't remember the name haha. I know they are phenolic but they aren't my taste. The charcoal dymalux looks really good for a black colour.

The cherry dymondwood is displayed at the DCC? I'm still unsure if they exist and the Diamond rep meant rosewood. Do you have any pics or know if it looks more like dymondwood Rosewood or oak stained cherry? Both are nice :)

I do really like the walnut colour but if I had the option I wouldn't want hardwood. Do you know if the walnut is available is dymondwood or dymalux?
I wish Diamond would just release a straight forward page with what they have available and update the website to remove the ones they can't do anymore.

That is a curveball. Is the d-wood cherry a cost savings vs what you planned to spend? I think even if noT, it is the way to go...and you ask for ball set and a triangle too!

I love the cherry finish and the fact there will likely not be further diamondwoods available...I like this option best.

Al that said, you are gonna be happy whichever model you pick.
 
As far as I know they are only offering Dymalux in Rosewood.
Charcoal has lots of brown streaking in it and was very inconsistent.
To many complaints so they stopped offering charcoal. Aren't you in UK?
Will they even ship to you direct? If you need help with a table,
you can call me anytime!

Sean, I really also wanted to order the Dymalux in charcoal finish on the table I got the other day, but they no longer offered it. Wife wanted a more furniture look, so I ordered a Professional in Maple wood, with a rosewood finish. What I got was Maple wood, in a cherry finish. While Mannings site said rosewood finish was available, it really wasn't an available option anymore. I am quite happy with my maple wood, with cherry finish. I found when looking at Diamond's site, the options were different than other sites. This picture is a pretty true representation of maple wood, in cherry finish. One other thought, I think one of their options is Cherry wood, in various finishes, as a woodworker, I would not order a table with cherry wood as the base wood, as it tends to be a slightly softer hardwood than maple wood.

The cherry d-wood is a cost saving and I agree, probably the best option even if cost wasn't a factor because you can't buy them new anymore. Do you know if Cherry dymondwood is a thing or do they mean rosewood by mistake?

Thank you for the picture. It is a shame they have stoped the charcoal because I thought it looked great too, however the cherry stained maple looks nice also. I am going to go with the dymondwood option because of it's resistant properties so it's nice to know cherry wood is softer then the oak and maple!
Do you know if dymondwood cherry was ever an option or do you think they meant rosewood and made a mistake like with yours?

Glad that is cleared up now, thanks :) It might be why they have stopped charcoak dymalux now because of the inconsistenties, a shame because the ones I have seen looked good.
I'm from the UK. Sadly no companies will ship anything over for me. I tried Diamond's.com site along with seyberts and manning cues.
I'm in discussion with Diamond Billiards Europe and they have a site in Finland that they can ship from. The diamond supplier in the UK want £7.5K for a 7foot diamond which is outrageous. Roughly $9.5K. I wish I lived in the USA! So hard to get decent pool equipment too.
 
I think rosewood is the only option available in Dymalux at this time. There is quite a few pictures out there on that finish. Mannings site has quite a few pictures of set up tables, also I think that the table that Styler and Robinson were playing on last week in the links that were on here, was the Dymalux-rosewood, I could be wrong though.

You have to pay import taxes :(

I have a local International Import/ Export Shipping company I work with here in Toledo, the freight cost is not so bad, I think its the taxes you have to pay is what makes it so high. I can have one delivered here and then work out freighting it to you from here?

Just so you know, the factory is closed due to coronavirus til further notice, it would be a long time before you got a new one from the factory!

Are you planning on getting the Pro-Am or the Professional?
