Diamond Table Wait Time

It’s great for a pool hall but looks pretty weak in a home.
My diamond at home.

I’ve played on a Rasson and a bunch of tables from Korea when I was in San Diego. Those were very good quality.

Diamond is popular because of availability, granted wait time right now, but they are easy to build and construct. It’s great for a pool hall but looks pretty weak in a home.

They should be delivered assembled.
They look and play amazing every where.. how do they look weak in a home?

I've been scrolling azbilliards for years but only recently made an account. And mostly I made an account to tell a story about diamond.

In April of 2023, my father put down a payment for a diamond 9 foot pro am. At the time, the sales rep said he might be able to get him a table by Thanksgiving 2023. When it didn't get there by Thanksgiving, the sales rep said new years 2024. New years turned into February, March, April. A few weeks ago my dad finally decided to call the office and talk to one of the lead people. The guy said that the wait time was always going to be at least a year....... OK, but if that's the case, why are your sales people telling the customer that it might only be a few months?

Well the table did finally arrive at my dads house 2 days ago (May 2024). And while it is a sharp looking table for the most part, it was dusty, the first thing we had to do was clean it. Something shouldn't be that dirty when it's brand new.

My advice for anyone looking for a new pool table is this....... not diamond. The sales reps BS about how fast they can get you a table, lack of transparency and professionalism all around.

Actually, they are delivered assembled. They just bolt on the 4 legs after bringing it in the house.

Pro ams one piece slate are assembled, Professionals not. Rasson wouldn't be assembled also, I would assume if a three piece slate.
Sort of impossible to ship a three piece slate assembled.

I ordered my Diamond Pro 7' on 4/22/2023 and still waiting...
My dad ordered one on 4/11/23 and it didn't get to his house until 2 days ago (May 23 2024). The sales rep will tell you that they can get it to you in 6 or 8 months, but the lead people will tell you it's a year. Don't listen to the sales rep. And don't be suprised if it shows up looking not exactly new, the first thing my dad did was clean the table because it was dusty. Like it had been sitting in a shop for weeks lol

That damond trademark is killing the picture.

Can one be ordered without that? Maybe a more subtle nameplate.
Ive never seen one without it but you can get it that the diamond is the same color as the rest of the table so it doesn’t stick out as much.

yup.. I cleaned out the return trey the whole way back because it was dusty. It had been sitting for a while after it was assembled.

It can definitely be ordered without a logo. See posts 48 and 57 for pictures.
