Diamond Ten Ball Invitational

Only problem there Joey, is the entry fee will get bigger in the future so have to change the name then to the 2 Grand, 5 Grand etc...

I still like TT Louisville TT, Tunica TT, Hong Kong TT, London TT

Or even the DTT like you have WPT - world poker tour.

Could have the WPTT - world pool ten-foot tour

Whether it is one grand, two grand or three grand, it will always be GRAND.

I don't like TT. It sounds like something a toddler does when it is not potty-trained.

How about "The Southern Diamond Classic" Doesnt Diamond sponser this event? if so you have to have their name in the title.

I think the promoters are looking for a name for the specific event (ten ball on 10 foot tables with an emphasis on the dollar amount of one thousand dollars, hence my "grand" idea.)

There is no telling if this event will be played at any specific Harrah's properties in the future. This event could take on a complete new character and I think that is what they are looking for.

Later on, it may become tied to a PLATINUM SPONSOR, OR A GRAND SPONSOR of some sort, or even a resort name providing they get some "help", but that will most likely come later or not at all.

The key relative properties of this event (as far as the event name is concerned) are TEN FOOT, TEN BALL and GRAND but that's just my perspective for identifying what this event is, not what it's going to become or become associated with.

If it ever becomes known as a truly INTERNATIONAL event, that word should be part of the event name, imo.

There's a lot of pot stirring in this thread and a lot of great names. It really all depends upon what the promoters are trying to achieve.

It could always be called THE GINGERBREAD MAN'S GRAND 10 BALL LEVIATHAN!:D

I don't think it has to have 10 Ball - 10 Foot - or Grand in the title.

Look at the four major sports and tennis and golf - their big events dont even have the name of their sport in them except for the NBA.

again --- The Quintessential Invitational - what do I win? :D

Alain "Frenchy" Boutain may be coming on board. Should know soon.

Is that they guy they call "The Dancing Bear". If so, I have never seen him play and I keep getting visions of a very big man, so nimble and graceful that he moves around the table like a ballerina.

Joey,

The Dancing Bear is Alain Martel from Montreal. Actually a fan favorite here in Rochester after a great showing at a local Joss event.
