Did DPK build this Omega cue? See Pictures...

Hi,

I had aquired 24 Omega DPK blanks some years ago and they all were at final size before finish and the joints were .837.

I have also purchased a new custom ordered cue from David in the early 80s and the cue you are showing is much thinner than the Omegas I had so there is a good possibility that he may have built that cue during his short time spent in the Omega Shop.

There is a possibility the a some point they made thinner cues like DPK and later changed the geometry. If you want to know that detailed info contact Mike Bender as he was the talent in that shop as I could be missing something.

JMO,

Rick

It looks like DPK to me.
Complete with a phen sleeve for the bumper.
Very fat in the middle like a true "parabolic" taper.
Does it roll funny btw ?
I think that's a true OMega-DPK.
But, Rick's suggestion is spot on.
Contact Bender.

Well just because the seller claims it is a DPK does not cut it. It is an Omega until you can get a letter from David saying that it is one of his or from Bender stating that David made it. The problem with the Bender letter is if someone buys the cue thinking it is DPK/Omega and then sends to David and he says it isn't you have a problem.
