That may be, but have you or anyone you've known ever seen a proven set of fake Aramiths? I've never even heard of such a thing, but there is probably a lot going on in the world that I've never heard of. Just curious.

A few years ago, you could get a set of what looked like Aramith pros from Ebay delivered to your house for $30. They came in a box that was designed exactly like an Aramith box prior to the new fancy colored boxes, except it had a tiny foil sticker that said "Made in China". That sticker was easy to remove.
A local room owner got a replacement set of balls. They came in an unsealed Aramith box. They looked a lot like Aramiths, but they were not.
Fred Agnir has described his experience with bogus balls. As I recall, his Aramith-looking 3 ball exploded.
A real set of new Aramith balls will come shrink wrapped in special plastic film that has Aramith logos all over it. That shrink wrap gives you some assurance that the seller has not substituted fake balls.
Uh, I may not remember correctly, but I'm pretty sure the shrink wrap didn't have any logos of any kind on it.
You got that right! I've actually asked them, politely, to shut up about it and they constantly bring it up. I keep repeating that I can't even discuss it without knowing more, especially from online resources and Aramith themselves. I've sent Aramith the link to the re-listed balls, as well as the seller's name.
I don't see a message I sent 3-4 times. Since I keep my balls in the car (well protected), I was wrong about the logos all over the cue ball. It has one small Aramith logo on it, so that part is right also.
Oh, and the photo on ebay is very much representative of the white I see on the balls. It's exactly the same.
I've sent a message to the seller where I say I'm considering buying them, not as a potentially ripped off buyer, and asked if they really are Super Pro balls. I know yesterday was Sunday, but they've had a couple days now and haven't answered.
The font looks spot on for super pro's.
The slightly blurred colour boundaries are consistent with super pro's.
Brilliant white is what some/most super pro owners with cream or ivory balls would prefer I'm sure. (I know I would)

The other can of worms that has had alot of debate in the past is the phenomenon of creamy / ivory / yellowy coloured balls changing their hue with time / exposure to various things. (air / sunlight / pool table lights)
With that in mind perhaps ur super pros have already somehow 'turned white' ???
Alternatively If aramith have changed their white resin to be now 'white' instead of ivory - then kudos to them and every new box (new stock) of super pros will now be white ?

Yep, the font looks correct, but this really only proves the pic is not of a cheaper Aramith ball set, all of which have a different font than the Super Pros.
We still have not seen a photo of the actual set in question though, right? Ultimately it's going to be tough to say definitively without seeing a pic of the actual balls in the OP's possession.
Does that set of balls always come with shrink-wrap that has the Aramith logo printed all over it?
No. I was going to reply back to you about that when I read your post yesterday, but obviously forgot. It comes with a plain, clear shrink wrap on the box. No logos on the wrap.

One good thing about buying Cyclop balls is that you dont have to worry about buying a knockoff. In fact I'd be hoping for a knockoff for better quality.
I received an email on this from Aramith today. They did have a disclaimer that they couldn't tell for sure without having them in hand to look at, which makes sense, but they said they looked completely legit. They said that colors do vary quite a bit, and yellowing happens over time. They also said that their shrink wrap does have logos on the bottom side only.

I bought some higher end Spyderco knives for Christmas last year and was a bit concerned about potentially ending up with a knockoff if I bought through ebay. After doing some additional research online, I bought one particular genuine model for my son from a reputable dealer for roughly $150 and ordered a knockoff of the same model from the Chinese website Alibaba for $18, delivered. The two knives were virtually identical, although the closing of the blade did feel a bit different. I suspect the steel would show the knockoff to be cheap and not hold an edge after some use. The boxes were virtually identical. The knockoff insert did have two grammatical errors. A dishonest person would not have any problem selling the knockoff as the real thing to an unsuspecting buyer. I could certainly be sure to buy pool balls from a reputable seller.
