I have had 860HR for a month now and my table is getting about 8 hours of play a day or more since its been on and it has a zillion burn marks on it. Dont worry about that it has them from breaking, where the balls lay before they are broke(and we NEVER tapped them in), where the CB lands after the break, same as regular 860. I thought in the beginning that I was gettting less burn marks but now that the cloth is broke in, it burns just as easy(perhaps not at first at best). The table has not been played on by any bangers at all, Its been used for banks, 1P, 9,10 ball only. And practice drills, nothing abusive.
I went to Simonis website and read about it, I'd like to get a ramp built and roll a ball the same distance down it onto the cloth and measure 860, 860HR and 760 and see which one rolls the fastest. the 860 and 860HR seem about the same to me and the rest of us here.
Mike Massey was just here for a few hours messing around on it, he might know a little about cloth and adjusting to different conditions, he said "its slippery and long" but "ok". It is different thats for sure. He said it was also obvious that it is well broke in and not playing like new cloth. Its kinda strange cause it is slipery sometimes and other times rough. Its ok, i'm not in love with it, but it aint bad.
As far as "High Restance" goes I think the name says it all its made for use in commercial applicatios that are tough, drink spills, rough play, and its long lasting, it seems like it will out last regular 860, there are a couple divits from masse' or jump shots and they didnt cut to the slate like on regular 860 would happen, I know I miscued on a jump that should have went right through the other night it cue down into the cloth but not the whole way through, its kinda like it had a backer cloth for lack of a better description, there is a hole but not the whole way through the cloth, the table has 3 such divits now, one is mine. no biggie i dont worry about it, but it is interesting, it is defantly a different product than 860, perhaps more different than they say,
but next time i will take regular 860 unless the worlds swithches over to HR(I hope not)
