OK DigiCues went out this week and I am sure a few folks have got them by now. What's the verdict???

Seems to me from reading the thread previously the reviews on here were positive. The only negatives I remember reading had to do with fitting on some of the buts it was tested on and price. The MSRP on this is $ 99.00 but PoolDawg has it for $79.99

I may be wrong.. but just because a product vibrates on a cue when you have a stroke that is not perfect, does not mean that you know what you did wrong.
This product specifies which issue is the culprit. Speed? follow through? whether your stroke went righ to left or vice versa.
Thus you are effectively teaching yourself to have a stroke that does not cause a feedback vibrations/buzz. How will you know how to do that? And if you were able to pass... is there any way that you could have learned improperly?? There are just too many variables to a stroke. Therefore is appears to be a gadget rather than a stroke improvement device.
It looks great... but does not display info, to be more like some of the newest golf swing aids that fit on the club and show everything good and bad in a swing.
If it recorded info and you were able to download it to an Ipad or Iphone to see graphics and info on each stroke(s) it would have more value.
I will wait until OB comes out with the next one... I hope to see a better product
The more expensive Q-MD stroke product appears better as it synch with a computer to show stroke problems... but it's beeping every time it records your stroke (per promo video) would drive me batty.. as well as bother others in the pool room. The promo vid on Pooldawg for it is not entirely clear... or done well INHO

That makes since about not telling you what is wrong, but I can see if you use it with a video camera, it may be more useful.
As for the QMD, you can turn off the instant WHILE you're stroking audible/vibration alerts if it's bothersome, or put your phone in your pocket and just feel the vibration. Plus you get automatic shot recording for detailed 3D playback of each shot AND complete metrics to analyze all the shots in your practice session when you're done. The new version 2.0 is priced the same as the msrp of digicue, why pay the same for MUCH less? The QMD web site is www.cue-md.com.

You may try to get your facts straight instead of misleading people. There is no magnetometer in QMD so there is no magnetic distortion. You can put QMD on your cue butt if you'd like and there is no need to keep it level when in use, it knows which way is up.
Each unit is carefully hand calibrated and tested with a mechanical stroke simulator to assure accuracy in addition to hand testing on a pool table. How many digicues are calibrated and tested this way, or do you expect your users to be happy with random vibrations? Does digicue know which way is up or does it just go off on a perfectly good pendulum stroke? Curious minds want to know.

Tried a bit last night on the easy setting, it vibrated several times, but did fail to vibrate 75% of the time when I tried to deliberately steer or raise the shaft up after a stroke which was a bit odd. My son then tried it on the highest setting, and it was much better at picking up when something was off. I think the hardest thing to figure out is what was off when it buzzes.
