Normally I do not either. The hook they got me on was the bill was for a Norton anti virus plan. A couple years ago we had Norton. It was also early in the morning and I was distracted by my wife. She has a serious illness which requires a significant amount of my time. I was caught off guard, not fully awake and shit just got rolling.
They also involved Amazon where we purchase a lot of products. So they hit a lot of buzz words that got me.
I sincerely appreciate all the good advice and will learn from this event!!

I doubt it's discord directly, they are currently a 15 billion dollar company.
Do you suppose hackers are just using the Discord name in an attempt to get folks to open the link?
Without seeing the email addresses im unable to say. Are you certain you have never signed up since 2015?
If no, its more likely someone signed up using your email and name for whatever reasons. You can check this by going to discord.com attempting to log in, but clicking forgot password. It will send your email a password reset, that way if someone did, you at least take back control.
Mainly i was pointing out that a Company of that scale was unlikely targeting did azb, it saying the couldn't be shady at times, but they would be going after bigger fish.

they want to give "me" a new user name ...i dont care
i didnt contact them because i was sure they would ask me for identifying info

When I search Discord.com I get to a website that wants me to download their app. There is no place to login at all. Looked it over and no link to login anywhere.
I am 100% sure I have never had or created an account with them. Prior to this event I had NO idea what Discord is. Wish I had never heard of them to be perfectly honest.
I think there is no reason to believe that Discord ever sent you email. I get lots of evil emails that are made to look like they come from a reputable company. I have received maybe a dozen that appear to come from my site administrators but the English is a little off and the true sending address is wrong.

It is either:
- A phishing email that someone is trying to get you to click on a link and either get you to enter credentials or install malware.
- Hackers/bots harvested your email address and used it to create a discord account at some point, without your knowledge, and discord is currently sending out emails to all account email addresses for a username update announcement.
- At some point a computer/device that you used was compromised and used it to create a discord account with your email address.
- Someone accidentally entered your email address incorrectly when getting a discord account because it is close to the same as your email address (whoever2345@wherever.com whoever234@wherever.com.
- You created a discord account at some point in the past in a drunken stupor and just don't remember it.
I sure as hell never signed up to anything with a username of Bluebxxry, so this was probably sent to me as a result of bullets 2 or 4 from above.
The links in the email appear to legitimately go to discord.com, and they are in fact going through username changes.
Regardless, NEVER CLICK ON ANY LINKS from emails like this, EVER. Mark the email as spam and never think twice about it. If an email appears to be from your bank or whatnot, go directly to the site in your browser instead of clicking on any links. Or just call them.
I recommend you change all of your email account passwords, in case you have been compromised after clicking on a link from some other email in the past.
I have no idea where you got the idea that this email relates to your AZB account in any way.

And if its a phishing scam I am extremely vulnerable to attractive women that play pool and are mildly educated.
It has been awhile since my last date.
Imagine if the organization actually sends an attractive woman to scam me.
Then what would you choose to do?
I am only interested in spending time at the pool hall playing pool. If you want my money it will take at least 3-6 months before I decide to or not.
And if its a phishing scam I am extremely vulnerable to attractive women that play pool and are mildly educated.

If my account was compromised they already have my info
Why should i contact them to confirm my info ?

Be careful responding to emails from unknown sites. Take a good look at who is sending them. A lot of phishing scams start out this way.
That's a scam! 100%. DO NOT respond. Delete it!
Sometimes I get emails saying they are from Paypal or my bank, and it looks real. But it's not! Check carefully who sent it to you if it has anything to do with money, and by all means do not respond online or by phone. Check your accounts on your own with your own log in.
