Do actually pple buy or sell cues here?

i noticed that people tend to buy alot of cues through here and then try and turn around and make money off it on ebay..

sometimes.. people also try and sell them in both places.. if it sells here, they may remove it from ebay.. or if it sells there , they just post here that its been sold...

kinda works both ways..

I've seem people sell there cues here like hotcakes..Then I see it ebay or some other forums. Or they advertise the same cues on here again later in time. Besides, I don't think people sell there cues cheap enough for the buyer to resale. This isn't exactly a wholesale depot for cues. looooooooooool. In fact, most cues they sell here are overpriced.

Just thought that you would drop by and say negative things about the forum or was there an actual purpose to the post?

ditto on what Mike said...

IN MY OPINION, most of what sells on here is custom cues/cases or the collectible stuff especially...

not much production stuff moves, unless it is a real deal or its new stuff thats not readily available at the local room/dealer...

the real bonus for me with this forum is seeing new/current/older customs that most of us wouldnt get to see otherwise AND dealing with respectable people that are in this for the love of cues and not strictly out to make a buck.

I'm agree

I'm agree with scruggsinhand. We like to see custom cues that difficult to see in our local pool room and we like to change cue sometimes to try different cuemakers or find something to collect.

Plus you can ask around about things here in a more close atmosphere, people know each other and that gives me security.

Obviously this poster has been soured by the fact that his educational ,economic, social and behavioral levels have hindered him and his endeavors in life such that his glasss is either half empty or stagnant.
I feel sorry that some people can not enjoy this forum for what it is.
A place for pool and billiard lovers to meet exchange and enjoy both tips and equipment. If you don't have anything good to say then SHUT up.

buy and sell

I have just sold a mcworter snakewood cue last week, and i have also bought a few cues from posters and iam working on a james whit that was posted here ! so I believe it is a good venue if your price is right!

I have bought and sold cues here for years. I have picked up some very nice cues here at very reasonable prices. I have sold cues here for less than you could get them from your mom! Sometimes I donate them and sometimes I just give them away. So I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Sorry you don't get it.
Best Regards, Purdman

I really wonder. I seem cues that has been sold here on ebay. Not just once but quite a few times.
I'm relatively new to the forums...but I've already been involved in a purchase, trade, or sale of a dozen cues and shafts. The folks that interact with each other here share a very important commonality with each other...a love and appreciation for both the game and the equipment. You don't really find that level of agreement on the auction yards. From time to time, you'll see cues that were bought here being sold on E-bay...but the reasons behind it are known only to the seller...and those reasons could be one, or a mix of several, that are in the seller's best interests. I don't think an "AZB cue" being sold on E-bay has ANY reflection at all on the value of this forum.

Did you have a bad experience or two that causes you to think otherwise???

I've bought and sold here many times....

I think you are kind of walking into a Benz dealership and asking where the Kia's are.... Most things here are custom cues, which carry a much higher price tag.

It's not about the money.....

I have bought, sold, and traded lots of cues and cases here on AZB. As it has been said before, I do it more for the enjoyment than for the buck. I move a lot of cues for exactly what I have in them (sometimes less) just to keep different cues around. I like to experience as many cuemaker's cues as I can, doing this affords me the opportunity to do so. I also enjoy conversing with other folks who are just as nuts as I am (some even more so:D ). Why don't you folks buy my cue, then I believe it. okay.

Depends on a lot of things....what do you have...how much do you want...where are you located...have you done business here before. As was stated earlier, most cues dealt here are custom cues.

You have offered a Predator 4K4 for $815 delivered. A nice cue for a decent price to someone wanting a Predator. Trouble is that, even though they are nice cues, Predator cues are production cues. Many of us are dealers for Predator and other production cues. We buy them at wholesale and offer them to folks on here for around 20-25% off retail, usually. Ebay is a much better forum to move a nice production cue than here, unless you plan on discounting the cue significantly, and even then, it will not move quickly to these folks who usually only deal with true custom cues. This is only my $.02....Joe

Very well said, Joe. I see very few production cues that are "hot" cues. Most kinda fall by the wayside when compared to some of the excellent customs on the market here.

Dead on explanation.

Buying/Selling on Az

Hi - I have only had 2 transactions (buys/sales) here on Az for about $1K. Since I have done most of that on eBay, I checked out both people prior to making the deal. Both checked out well and both deals went thru with no problems. This is a limited community compared with eBay, and the trust factor is much better here. I posted a "Good Deal" on the Wanted/For Sale forum for both transactions so that others would know that they can trust these folks (and me too :D ). I will continue to do a little checking prior to a deal, but I feel much more secure here than on eBay.:) If I don't know u and u don't know me, it only makes common sense to check out the other person prior to an exchange. Remember the old saying - Let The Buyer Beware! Even on eBay, I have been very fortunate. With over 100 transactions, I have never been cheated (yet). Knock on wood! ;)

Another thing to do, especially on Ebay, is to split off the second Predator 314 shaft and sell it separately. That lowers the price of the 4k4 and helps move it for you. A 314 shaft usually sells on ebay for $125-175, or on AZB for $100-125 usually, depending on condition. If you sell the shaft on ebay for $125, then you need less than $700 for the 4k4 alone to get what you wanted. That makes it an easier sell for you.

Kung PHeuy

I will buy anything you got that I like! Sorry about the phuey. But if you are selling production cues then I am sure this forum is useless to you. If you have any Scruggs,Searing ,SW's Gina's, Tascarellas, BB's,Freys,Schicks ,ect.,ect.. then you are getting ready to make alot of new friends!
Good luck
Nick
Apologies for the many custom cue makers that are very sought after not on my list I didn't want to make a exclusionary list and it is not ment to be so!
