Do actually pple buy or sell cues here?

Another thing to do, especially on Ebay, is to split off the second Predator 314 shaft and sell it separately. That lowers the price of the 4k4 and helps move it for you. A 314 shaft usually sells on ebay for $125-175, or on AZB for $100-125 usually, depending on condition. If you sell the shaft on ebay for $125, then you need less than $700 for the 4k4 alone to get what you wanted. That makes it an easier sell for you.

yes.. you are correct.. looking at the cost price of the 4k4.. $700 isnt a bad price for it.. see... like Bama said in the other post.. alot of people here are able to buy wholesale so its hard to offer somebody $$$ for a cue they can buy cheaper new... its alot like trading in a car.. you buy a car from one dealer and maybe you dont get a very good deal, they sell it to you for a high price.. well.. when you want to trade it in, they can only offer you so much because the first dealer took advantage of you and sold it to you for a high price.. and that gives people the feeling that something should be worth more but doesnt really hold its value.. and predators are a hard sell because they dont have a very high markup.. their cost prices are high to begin with..

I really wonder. I seem cues that has been sold here on ebay. Not just once but quite a few times.

The run-of-the-mill stuff is better sold through e-bay's large audience. A-Z is a good place to advertise collectibles and rare cues. In many cases, we know who collects what and will contact potential buyers about A-Z advertised cues.

The real benefit to being active in this section of A-Z is the potential to make a lot of really good contacts here with some very knowledgeable and decent people.

It looks like you really got off on the wrong foot here.

The folks that buy and sell to one another here generally trust each other.

You've made it clear that you don't think a whole lot of our methods and ability to decide what the most appropriate way to sell a cue to another friend is.

Not that it matters, but I also have a little trouble taking someone who calls themself "kung fu master" on a billiards site seriously.

I may be the only one though.

He kung fu master--- link to the above thread and tell us we don't buy and sell like good boys and girls... we move customs mostly... not stuff that ends in ucci or tec... lots of guys including my self buy then play then sell then move onto another cuemaker...
i've done more biz dollar wise here than on ebay <i have over 130 transactions on ebay> and the money i've spent here i could buy a nice SUV --- something that ends in 'cedes' and not' kia' ............

No, nobody has the money to buy extra or expensive cues.

that gave me a pretty good chuckle...:p and i am sure i am not the only one...

it would not surprise me if that the gross sales/trades on this site EASILY exceeds $15k a month...maybe even $20k or $30k on a good month

i have done transactions on here totalling about $2.5k in the last month on here (buying/selling). just traded about $700 of merchandise.

FYI...there were 5 scruggs cues deals alone totaling over $7000 in the last month!!!!!! those are just the ones i know about...

that doesnt include any Ginas, SW's, Motteys, J Whites or Tascarellas....

what the hell, i will bet a $100 bill that in one week, there has been $10k of business done on this site....

obviously, as alot of people have stated...i will say it again, you dont get what this forum is for and probably never will.

Brian, I think you would be shocked at how much business goes on from here. Not only what you see in threads, but behind the scenes, also. I get a great deal of "cue contact" from folks that I have dealt with in the past for items which never show up on here, but are directly attributable to AZB. I bet a lot of folks do the same.

Does the Kung Fu Master get it yet?

Looks like Kung Fu Master's cues are listed on eBay

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZisthatright123QQhtZ-1

as usual, I'd check the seller's feedback before considering a purchase

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=isthatright123

In case you don't get it yet, I will explain it in simple terms. A person can buy a predator ANYWHERE and not pay the RETAIL pricing you are asking. You are offering nothing special. I'm trying to help a friend bail out on a brand new maple P2 cue with leather wrap, and the high bid is only 535.00 so far. Retail on that cue was around 1100.00.....what does that tell you about the wonderful resale value of a predator product???? 5 mpg RV's have better resale value right now than a predator.

btw, lots of people on this forum buy lots of cues..this is mainly for the love of cues, and yes some are dealers with profit as primary motive, however even the dealers are generally realistic about the values they are placing on the product they offer on this forum. Key word: realistic.

Well, you asked and I am going to tell ya!

You put up a used Predator 4K4 for $815 W/an extra shaft. Seyberts Billiard Supply has the cue for sale at $692. I can buy the cue for $519 new. That's $300 less than you are selling a used one for! The shaft sells for $184 at Seyberts, I can buy one for $149. This means that anybody can buy your set up, brand new , for $878. Myself and many others here can pick up the whole package for $668. Do you understand WHY NOBODY WANTS TO BUY YOUR CUE for $815.
Do you really think most knowledgable cue buyers really care if you believe them or not. You are a newbie who found yourself in the wrong croud my friend. Maybe you should set back, observe and learn something. JMHO

LMAO....

To echo what scruggsinhand has said, I'd be willing to bet that it's double what he thinks...... I'd bet $30K+ per month in transactions here....

Something does not seem right here. As Puckdaddy would say "there is a disturbance in the Force" and then something about "metachlorians"

I sell cues, I just sold my Runde... He had to pry it away from me though. I sold my older non-Runde Schon as well. I just put that on e-bay though and linked it through here.

What are you selling? I see that you are trying to peddle a Predator. Just because you post a cue for sale do you expect a immediate sale?

There have been many cues that have gone unsold. The price may be too high, or there is no market for that cue because of it's style, weight etc.

Sometimes it may be that no one trusts the seller.
