it's normal thing if u use gloves or not , it's up to u ..


I just use gloves cuz i don't want to use powder .........
and i think i can control the cue much easier ..
 
gloves are kind of goofy...but whatever works for them.

i just keep my shaft condtioned.
 
i dont. i like to go au nat-u-ral. i used to consider it when i was lesser of a player cause i'd sweat more under the pressure but not so much now.
 
Gloves are very GAY.

My opinion on a pool glove... You might as well wear a bullseye. It's one of the first things one can look for to determine who in a pool hall/bar is a sucker.

Come to Japan and play in the summer humidity here without being allowed to use powder because it dirties the tables. You may not think it's so gay then.

That's a pretty narrow minded opinion, Marissa. I'd be more than happy for you to think me a sucker because I have a glove on. I'll agree, they're not the coolest things around, but over here you're not allowed to use powder, at least not at the place I play, and the humidity here is so bad that Tarzan would break out in a sweat. You do what you gotta do and if that calls for putting on a glove then so be it.

There are great players who wear gloves. Wearing a glove does not make them gay or pussies but it does make them look it. :grin-square: :eek:
 
Gloves are not Gay

I have found that the BrokeBack mountian brand works best for me.

Myself, Michael Jackson and Earl use them so they can't be gay

I find nothing is more intimedating when your getting ready to gamble than pulling out my

5 piece cue in the handy 1ft by 1ft case
getting out my rubber bridge attachment
Pulling out my Pappa Smurf Pocket marker
My scotchbrite scruffy
and last but not least my pool glove made from Richard Simmons Spandex Shorts man it feels so good on the shaft
oh and 2 pennies for the head rail

You should see the look on their face....total fear

if you wash your hands with soap and water before you play you dont need powder or a glove. i also clean my shaft with a barley damp paper towel then immed use a dry one
 
People who think gloves are gay are ignorant, opinionated, prejudicial, and just plain stupid.

Gloves are primarily for people whose hands are damp or who wish to keep the shaft clean.

I don't wear one but I would if my hands weren't so dry. Punks who make stupid insulting remarks about gloves need to have the sh!t slapped out of them.... imo.
 
I play with one in the summer due to the fact that i sweat alot but in the fall and winter i just use powder and im fine.
 
I HATE seeing powder on the balls 'cause someone thinks it's too gay to wear a glove.

I'd rather see ya wear a glove than be powdering up my balls 'cause ya don't know how to powder your clam.

The Top Player in our local League is a big guy and wears a glove ... No one has called him "gay" yet ... and I hope I am present when they do ... It will certainly be the last time ...
 
Nope

Never have and never will.

Besides, I don't have a problem with sweat or moisture.

If I need to slick the shaft....2000 grit paper works great
