I think you should use a screw on tip and carve the word troll into it so that it will hold chalk.

I prefer the type of tip that comes already glued to a hollow ferrel so that I can just slip it on.

I think you will find the vast majority of the players on this forum prefer a glue on tip. Screw on tips generally are associated with 'cheap wal-mart cues'.

Glue on.

Because....
they're better?

Just go with glue-on and never look back...
You won't regret it.

Actually, you are being the troll with that remark.....

I simply made a thread asking a question about POOL.

I didn't do anything wrong to anyone, you are out of line.

Well i use glue on.

So there are no high end cue shafts who uses screw on?

I got more to learn about the products of pool then the game of pool it self.

Quite frankly, I have to wonder.

By the way, where did you get that diagram. I did not know there are so many kinds of tips!

Well i just didn't know that not ussing a glue on tip was just for cheap cues.

It's like a person who plays guitar and never took time to learn about how the guitar is made, i guess that's me.

If there were ...

They would not be purchased ! I am assuming you are being sincere so look at it this way a screw on tip could and will invariably come loose during play! This is and would not be a good thing ! You want the tip to be as permanently attached to the shaft as possible!

I use tips made from endangered animals and ferrules made from ivory harvested from elephants that were poached by overzealous cue makers. I believe most of these are glue on?

I would not have thought about that because i know of things you screw on and it doesn't just unscrew so easily...

for example, a cue stick he he :0
