In the original post the girl says he follows too much. Then in his diagram he follows from the 6 to the seven which is not the best way to go for someone who knows all the shots. So IMO he could and we all can take advice from lesser players.
cool, there were more replies, I thought the thread would be gone.
I will admit I may be playing the wrong shot on either the 5 to 6 or 7 to the 8. I don't mind being wrong on those things. But I'm still a firm believer in one best way to skin a cat =) But, if it's a difference between an out that works 99.5% vs. 99.0%, who really cares? I'm not gonna tell someone they played a shot "wrong" if it's that close. I'm only gonna sweat it if I see a real risk.

Poolpro, and luxury, here's how I see the 6 to the 7. Imagine the angle I'm talking about and draw a line from CB A to the object ball. That line damn near mirrors the line the cue ball is taking when I go 1 rail. And I can send that cue ball on that line 100% of the time cuz it's just pure follow and mayyyybe a tiny bit of right. That's why I like it. You really have to be trying if you want to **** it up. I'm more likely to hit the ball fat and cause the CB to collide with the 7 than go too far the other way. As long as you don't hit with lots of right or with terrible speed, you can't get too close to the side rail or too straight.
When I set it up and hit it in real life, it went exactly as I diagrammed the very first time I shot it, and every time after that. I encourage y'all to set it up and try it. It's really automatic. Falling anywhere on/near that red line works.
