Do you think any pro could dominate Like SVB?

I think there are several that could play as well as SVB if they took it as seriously as he does and had his work ethic. Point is ... they don't.

thats right

There is not just a single example context...I am talking about ongoing behavior.

Would you prefer I sorted through your posts and cite examples of namecalling?

Guys, grow up.

Tit for tat is going to get you nowhere.

Complaining that the other guy started it when you are asked to stop is also bad form.

This was not an official warning, but the crap needs to stop, not just with you, but the other parties as well.

You were mentioned, because at this time.....you seem to find the ground zero pretty often when there is trouble.

John Morra will be the next superstar coming out of North America. He will soon become Shanes most serious adversary.

perhaps, john aint no joke, but playing in a $50 ring game is alot different than what SVB has done, I respect John but his hands were shaking bit when paying off and collection in that game, he did win some $$$ too, but if he is a bit nervious about that small of action he might not hold up for big $$$, I know he wasnt holding alot either so that had something to do with it, No doubt John isnt a joke he will be around for along time and he is a super strong player. I wont count him out on anything, he is 18 we'll know alot more in the next 4 years. When I was his age I couldnt run 5 balls. LOL his did is a great player too, snooker I think., He is a nice kid/guy we spoke alot tof times at the Derby and I do hope he reaches SVB's level or close to it. He has a better chance than anyone else thats 18 right now.

Here is your answer

So who's
the heaviest guy?

I'm the heaviest guy,
right, Eddie?

It doesn't make sense.
It goes in streaks.

The balls roll funny
for everybody, kiddo.

There's this guy--
Grady Seasons.

He's making the most
on paper...

but that doesn't
mean anything.

The money's
in the practise room.

That's where
you get good games.

You can get wiped out
at the tournament...

hang around
the practise room...

and make more money than
the tournament winner.

Hear that?
The practise room.

Hey, watch the paint.

Oh man...you KNOW you get rep for that!

I agree with your post. I have always had a problem with the race format being so short. I understand with the amount of entries it can be hard, but this fact keeps me from saying its a majior championship. I feel anyone can win in a short race and it might not be the best player.

I've been running and watching 9-Ball tournaments for a long, long time. And one thing I've come to realize is that the best players get there in the end. It doesn't matter how long the races are or what the format is. The best players will be there when it counts.

Let's see, the 9-Ball at Derby City had John Schmidt, Gabe Owens, Francisco B. and Ralf Souquet battling it out at the end. Show me the weak player in this group. My theory is this. In shorter races there is more pressure on the weaker player. He will dog it first. The better player can come with the big shots under pressure. It's that simple.

Derby City's 9-Ball races (to seven) are long enough to separate the men from the boys (poolwise anyway). Just take a look at the past champions (and runner-ups). All name players! IMHO

By the way, first prize at Derby City in the 9-Ball was $17,500. That makes it a major tournament in my estimation.

I beg to differ with you, my esteemed colleague. What I was watching was how he went through the ball while shooting, and how he handled difficult situations and tough shots. The man can play. I mean really play! This kid is a serious player. As his confidence grows, so will his bankroll. Watch for his name on the leader board at any tournament he enters. Someone will have to play awfully good to beat him right now.

I don't care how his hand looks when handling money. He'll get used to handling a lot of it. I only look at how his hands are when he is shooting. And he's SOLID!

First time I saw Morra was at Valley Forge about 4 years ago. He was playing a race to 11 for I think 5k (I can't remember who he was playing). Morra was up 10-5 whan the other guy ran a 5 pack, broke solid at hill hill, and then hooked himself I think on the 3. After he kicked, Morra got up and cleaned up a tricky out with no emotion showing at all. Pretty strong for what was then a 15 year old kid. I'm guessing he has been gambling from a very young age. And to respond to one of the earlier posts, his dad Mario was a proffesional snooker player for quite a few years.
