I would like to ask a question if you have one. Thanks

It's not clear which book you mean. If you mean the one by Victor Stein and Paul Rubino, that would be something like this:

If you mean the Blue Book of Pool Cues, that would be something like this:

Both of those books had three editions. It might make a difference depending on exactly what you are looking for.

In this day and ag, you’ll probably find more accurate and up to date information online with a bit of effort.

However for eye candy all the books Bob suggested are fantastic

best,

I had a large book that I think was that Billiard Encyclopedia, and for years I have been trying to find where it went to. Drives me crazy I can't find a full size coffee table book in my parent's house. Along with selling almost all of my comic collection for a ridiculous cheap price (many of the single comics alone are worth now what I sold several hundred for) that is one of my biggest regrets I have of things left behind when I moved out.

The Stein and Rubino BE has not increased in price. You can get a like-new copy delivered for under $100 (Ebay/Amazon/other).

The 3rd edition, which I think has some cue maker updates, seems to be harder to find. I probably have an extra copy.

For those who were thinking of getting a Billiard Encyclopedia, I see on Ebay that there are two second editions available for under $50 including shipping. There is also one available for $450. o_O 💰 💰 💰

The Billiard Encyclopedia by Victor Stein and Paul Rubino, I have a first edition in mint condition.
In fact it's so mint only about a 100 pages have ever been looked at.

How is that narrowing it down? Victor and Paul's names are listed on the 5 of the 6 books listed, all three editions of the Billiard Encyclopedia, and as editors of the first two editions of the BlueBooks :)

At the current prices, it's a steal because it cost substantially more to produce it.

I mentioned it a few days back in another thread....Victor Stein is selling new signed copies of the 3rd edition of The Billiard Encyclopedia that are signed by himself. Once he sells out of all the ones in this buy it now listing, just keep checking his listings (billiardencyclopedia2020 on ebay) and it shouldn't be long until he lists the next batch for sale. The book is 660 pages with lots of photos, and the original cover price was $130 so it does indeed seem to be a good deal to me at $55 shipped and signed.

Yes, I also believe billiardencyclopedia2020 is Victor Stein. I don't know who is the other seller, who also appears to be selling brand new copies for less.

Years ago, I bought my copy from Victor at Blatt Billiards. He signed it after telling me many fascinating stories. A couple of weeks later, I bumped into him at Super Billiards Expo. He was sitting in a booth with Dennis Dieckman with stacks of his tome. He introduced me to Dennis, and said his book was on sale at the show and wanted to refund me the difference. Took $20 out of his pocket, and told me to take the money.
