Does Anyone Here Know How Good Mark Tadd Played?

Just curious how many of you know how good he played in his prime. This is not a thread to kiss ass, but I would like to inquire as to why so many of you like to insult him, but you treat the other pros on this forum so well. When Mike Segal was in his prime, Mark was said to be just as good as Segal. Mark comes on here and he talks about his experiences in pool, and he gets attacked for his grammar. Then people call him an imposter, so he makes a thread trying to prove that he is not, and the same people that called him an imposter complain about him making a thread proving that he is not an imposter. I don't get it, all of a sudden a bunch of people are acting like first graders, making first grader insults. Pathetic.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ.....

Who really cares? I'm sick of 50% of these threads either revolving around Mark, or it actually being Mark himself. Who really gives a shit?

Drop it already.

IF you want to see how good Tadd was, you can always buy his AccuStats video.
Story going around the SoCal area is, he was pretty darn good.

Hello,

That's why we have an ignore list Last Two, dickhead derekdisco, crack user69 and Mark "Midlife Crises" Tadd are on mine. If he is who he says he is let him come back playing pool instead of making narcissistic self aggrandizing posts in a forum. I wonder if there are any pool players in UTAH?

well i bought it off someone it was a grafite cue all black. it had gloss on it that made it sticky. so i sanded some of where my stroke was. it hit better than any cue i ever played with. and it was at the bicycle club. after i played one match and won , i wasnt playing much but wasnt playing to bad.
i put it under a pool table till my next match and someone took it. i had to buy a cue to finish tourny that played like crap......... some pool players..... man

play onepocket anyone :p

Yeah, Mark- cue theives are lame ...I find it amazing that you liked that graphite thing. Was it just a 'feel' issue, or was it consistancy? Or was it a bit of the 'I'm a bad dude, so I use a black cue' complex?

And everyone else- that Mars Callahan was on to something w/ the colored cues in PHJ!!

Seem like it would have been a great action cue....get some idiot woofing at you and you break out the graphite cue....They might start salivating....

I have the tape at home - I've got to say I was damn impressed with how cool that black cue looked in his hands. Mainly, you saw the white tip and that beautiful long smooth stroke. He tried to freewheel on Sigel and it was not a good idea.

Yeah, well I am sick of people talking about how they are sick of Mark's posts, and I am also sick of hearing how he may or may not be Mark. I have already determined that it is Mark after our phone conversation...and he is sick of it too. This is pretty sick, huh?

Yeah, but is this the real Roscooooooooooo P. Coltrane (I never knew he was a pool player)?!? If so, I met him and Boss Hogg back in Lansing, Michigan in 1980. Eh, he might not remember, but for an 8 year old kid, that was a hell of an experience! :D

I don't think I ever insulted him, but if it came across that way, I apologize. Since we're talkin' about ya Mark, how do you and Ted Harris know each other? You seem like really good friends. Did you play with one of his cues?

By the way, Boss Hogg, isn't he from the Dukes of Hazard? That show was a bit before my time.

Well, they won't tell you this, so I guess I might as well spill the beans. You see, when Mark was a struggling pool player, and Ted was a struggling cue-repair man, neither of them could afford to buy their own underwear. So what they did was, they went halves on underwear! Seriously! As I can only imagine, you get quite close to a guy when you're sharing underwear with him!

Ba-da-da-chaaaaa!

Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week. Try the prime rib - it's great!

(I over did it on the coffee today)

:D :D :D :D That's some funny stuff Jimmy!

Oh yea, I forgot to answer the question about how good Mark played. The guy impressed me every time I seen him play, whether it was 4 hours of non-stop practice or when he was gambling, or when we played each other. He was intimidating, to say the least. The guy could bank balls that just don't go! I remember one time I was playing some 9 ball and Mark walked by my table and saw that I was looking at a long rail bank that was tough. He didn't see the shot I played, which was the bank at about 200 mph, straight back into the corner, and when he came back by he asked what did I do. When I told him I had banked it he got a strange look on his face and just shook his head in awe. To have him do that about a bank shot, a guy who banked balls in his sleep, felt pretty good to me. Anyway, Mark played championship speed, and probably will again if he gets back into it. Peace.
