It doesnt seem like a lot is known about him. does anyone know what he is like as a person? just curious.

He recently (a few months back) quit drinking and got more "serious" about his pool.

When he stilled lived in Iowa he drove a black caddy with plates that read,
IBETHIGH.

He is going pro on the Pro Bass Tour, I saw him catch a 7 pounder in about 5 minutes one night, true story.

Nice Guy

I was lucky enough to be in the area for business last year during the Swanney Tourney in CA so I played. My opening match I played very well and won, the interesting thing about it was the players on both sides of me. On one Scott Frost was playing Stan Tourango and on the other Jose Parica was playing one I wasn't familar with. Scott won his match and I had an occasion to visit, (sorry, let me get more with it), err hang with him at various times throughout the two days and found him to be most cordial and a pleasant conversationalist. I knew that we had some other friends in common so that deep down we each probably suspected the other of having a wild streak. In my case it has turned to a mild streak; nevertheless, I found him very personable. Oh, and he is a pretty sporty player also. Looking forward to watching he and SVB whack 'em around.

He likes spiders:rolleyes:
I have made a post something like this before about Scott. Scott and I have worked together in the past and we have had our fair share of fights and differences of opinion. Not too long ago I had something going on in my life that I only told a few people about, and Scott was one of them. I have no idea why I told Scott as we were not really good friends we just knew each other. From that time on I saw a side of Scott that has really shocked me, on the inside he is not the bad ass that some think or thought including myself. He is a nice guy who cares about other people and will go out of his way to try and help others. I am not sure if this helps you or not but scott is a good guy but he can also piss you off.

At around 14 to 15 Scott got the bug. This was at Don Mcoy's pool hall in Des moines called Encounters. my ex girlfriend was best friends with his mom, Diane. Scott was not real good initially. but this kid would play anyone, anytime, and lose most of the time with varying spots. He at that time would go int rages of fit, talking shit and being the butt of jokes from most. But daily and before ours eyes he kept playing and playing and the jokes quickly dissipated. I went (he was maybe 16) from spotting him the 7 out to getting a spot in one year. But most still looked at him as hothead fool. But not all of us. He improved daily, would gamble with anyone and now is under the wing of Donny Mccoy. Another year or so passes and he announces he's going on the road, with still not that many believers. I told him I'd see him on ESPN soon one day, and he just lit up. And after that he did show up in the booth with Mitch Lawrence and Allen Hopkins. I recalled thinking Hopkins would cut him off whenever he was trying to talk to Mitch about the pool match. So the next time he's in Des Moines I asked him about that. He laughed hard and said Hopkins hates me cuz iv'e been spanking him in ihole,(giving him some obscene spot). Once while he was 15 he snuck out of his house, took Diane's car keys, and drove up to encounters to gamble and play pool. It was a weeknight around 11;00 pm, and then thru the door comes mom with smoke ringing out her ears, Diane pushes me out of the way, grabs his cherished pool cue and snaps it over her knee. "He's just plaing pool" I said, no drugs or drinking, as if it was ok to steal her car. She said i'll talk to you later and we all laughed. But that was his passion. A loose cannon who has known since then what he wanted. A funny, warm person who is fun to be around. When we talk about confidence in pool, and the mental approach one needs, Scott ipitomizes that. Back in the day, in our 9 ball tourneys if he would miss he more than likely would give you the game , even if you had 5, 6, 7 balls left. Funny stuff. He once found himself in front of the Judge, seeking a work permit to travel across state lines. "what do you do son" the judge asked. "I'm a professional pool player scott said, probaly 17 at the time. "Sure you are" the judge said, "we all are". Scott laughed.

The Arizona Billiards NEWS, or what it was called before the last name change did a profile on Scott once, they said he was a STAR BASKETBALL Player in High School.

Several times when I played against him at The Beach Girls Tourney, any time he missed, he would just grab all the balls and and rack for the next game. He said it annoyed him to watch someone else dink off shots and would rather just give them the game than wait. Also, it doesn't let your opponent get in any sort of rhythm!

One of the things I remember about Scott was when I played a match with him in a tourney. It was 3-2(i was up), I played safe on the 8, forcing him to go at least 2 rails to get a decent hit. He said, "If I miss this shot, you can have the match, but when I make it, I will go the other way 3 rails and make it again and then you have to concede the match". I stupidly agreed. He made the first 3 rail kick. Then went the other way and made another 3 rail kick making the 8 both times. I unscrewed and told him he needed to go pro! He responded," There's no money in going pro, I'm gonna go on the road and make a fortune!"

If he felt as bad as he has looked the last year or two, he will improve tremendously on the wagon. Get'm Scott!
