Does anyone know the dirt about DCC streamers?

There were at one point I think 4 or 5 streamers (besides Pool Action TV) and then notes saying all streamers were asked to stop.

Was it people being stupid about amounts of bets (talking openly?) or breaking some casino rule, maybe a complaint from Accu Stats?

hope they had some good small print in that Syndicate agreement.

i mean i get it, but xpool also could have made their product better, to make the difference between it and the dark side table streams bigger. more camera angles, shot clock, TPA/stats, better commentary, post match interviews, etc.

All good feedback for them to consider for future streaming access for non-attendees. I do have to commend them on the technology they’ve installed at the site. The Jumbotron (or whatever you’d call the big screen) is a huge plus for the site, plus all the individual scoring and monitors, which allows a little easier viewing as well as access for XPool to get the match scores from a remote location.

To me that is all secondary. The main way to make their production better is to include more tables at the right price and quality. How many are going to spend the $50 + $25 for the "full" package? Obviously most didn't as they swarmed to the "syndicated" streams plus the other couple free ones that are on site. For $50 it ought to include more than one damn table. Always should have. Never understood Accu-Stats not tossing a couple of cameras up on those four tables immediately behind the arena bleachers and just rotating the main top matches there. Don't need full productions. That is all that was ever needed. Now Xpool is continuing on. I don't need 50 tables, most don't either. There are also the long continuing bandwidth issues out of there. Well yeah, duh. You had the issue with one Arena table plus a few sideshow tables, and then you go to 50 simultaneously. WTF.

I wouldn't spend the $50 again for the one table. The only reason I did was assuming those other handful of free streams would be up and could switch to those matches. Then there is the dumb ass move to put the finals all on the last day. Among other things it completely ruins the flow of following the event. Banks finals, four days after the fact? You get Fedor screwed out of his buyback because of it. I couldn't care less about the 9 ball. That is played to death every where else. I tune in for the 10 ball, banks, and 1P. I liked being done with it by Thursday night and doing other things come Friday & Saturday.

That is all from my remote, paying, part time spectator only perspective. I wouldn't ever go there again in person unless I just happened to be in the area.

i'll add another one, with their platform you can't cast to the tv, from phone or tablet (i haven't tried from the computer). either way with accustats and other platforms you can do that.

I can assure everyone that Accu-Stats had nothing to do with the situation out there.

It appears that all of the streamers who were paying to stream one of the cameras put up by Digital Pool were cut off. Only the streamers who brought their own cameras are still streaming. From what I understand (and I am not there), Digital Pool had nothing to do with this decision.

I think this year you have to cut XPool a little slack, since it is their first year, and HELL YEAH they had big shoes to fill. I am stuck at home this year so I bought all the PPV streams and have been relying on them, so I am in that camp of being able to pretty well evaluate the user experience from my pov.

My biggest issue with the main XPOOL table coverage is frankly 4 full days of nothing buy Bigfoot 10-ball is WAY TOO MUCH for me. Please please please find a way to give us more variety next year in that premium package. At the very least, I bet they couldat least add a second semi-feature table, and get a remote commentator for that one if necessary. Ideally at least the standard end view and a full overhead view that the remote guy could control, I could live with that.

They really need to get over the BF thing.

I get that once you put that 10' table in place you don't want to move it but frankly, who can identify with playing on a 10' table?! Especially when there are plenty of great banks and 1pocket matches available. I know the Big Foot is Greg's pet thing but I think most would rather see some banks and 1pocket.
