Does anyone here relate the avatar to the member. You get used to seeing a certain avatar & know the member immediately. Then when they change the pic...it may take a bit before you realize who it is.
I was used to Koop's old Patriot...now this new movie guy looks like Jerry Seinfeld. I had been seeing Koop's post and not even relating it was him.
Anyone else do this? Maybe its just old age.:rolleyes: :D
 
Additionally I find the use of shared libraries of avatars very distracting. Everytime I see that W. C. Field avatar I automatically assume it's Mr. Wilson and start acting all polite and non-confrontational, until I realize it's just some dumb n00b using it by default, and then the gloves can come off ;-)

i think im gonna keep my avatar for a while since i put some time into it


i havent been here long but i know VARNEY lol cuz he has the same Avatar adn he makes fun of the midget on my cue :)
 
It took me awhile to give up the TOOL cd cover as my avatar...that album really kicks ass, btw. I hope people enjoy the canoe-view of my favorite lake...

Koop.... I vote for Borak in the cowboy hat not that it really matters what I think, it's your avatar.....mine happens to be the butt of my cue...

I use the same avatar everywhere I post. Every now and then I think about changing it but can never bring myself to it.

Buddah/Roger, Personally I much prefer your canoe/lake pic over your Tool cover.

After awhile our avatars become our own logo's. Quick switching does create confusion. Keeps you on your toes. Icon of Sin as a cute kitty just wouldn't work at all. Who is that he/she anyway Icon? Must be a story behind that avatar. Is that really you?:confused:
