My friend was losing 3 games to none. He asked for a break to go have a smoke. Took the other guy out of his zone and ended up winning in a race to 4.
 
Smoking

We played league out of a place that recently ban smoking. I, as a non smoker love it. The bonus is that when the opposing team shows up and finds out they can't smoke, they get so mad that they can't even hold a cue. It's like an automatic handicap. It's pretty funny.
 
It only hurts my game when the cig is hanging from my lip and the smoke curls up and drills into my eye!

Same here, statewide ban started Jan. 1st. I can tell when I'm playing a smoker just itching to go outside....I'll even play a couple of extra unneeded safes just for the fun of it. I'm talking league here, so I'm not gonna wait during or between games for an opponent to run outside to suck one down. If it weren't league I'd let 'em, especially when its this cold outside :p ... could completely throw off their game, throwing on a coat, walking all the way across the hall, shiver outside for a minute...etc. :D

Dutch Hydro aside...I would think that this one could be a hoot and a holler to play in. Hopefully they will have a concession with the required munchies that will be needed. :p :cool:

If thats true then it would suck...I mean the smoke is cool and all ..but the shrooms are golden.......

I might sound like a gomer here, but, are all drugs legal in Amsterdam. I know you can go buy weed and shrooms and shit like that but can you just go to the store and snag an 8 ball of coke of a couple grams of heroin

sorry, guess I've been away from that scene too long for it to automatically register. If it helps answer your question though, my little brother and all his buds were PHENOMINAL at playstation games that they played all night long while stoned, so maybe it helps concentrate on the immediate task at hand???

The only thing that I've played pool "on" is amoxicillin and hydrocodone - after a root canal last year....unless you count Redbull (local hall has it on tap and same price as fountain sodas). That makes me wanna take on one of the hall's employees at speedpool (the current world champ BTW). :eek: :D

No...I do not believe so. In fact, it is my understanding that they have pretty strict drug laws in regards to those chemical-based drugs such as cocaine and heroin.

They actually have cafes in Amsterdam where you go in and order off of a menu...instead of food, it's bud of various varities. However, it must be consumed indoors; overdoing it in these cafes is not tolerated...you pass out, they will move you to a chair on the sidewalk.

You can roll into a store and buy shrooms right out of the counter... they have em all laid out .. Mexicans, Hawiaiians , all of them .. boxed up ..ready to go...

the cafes do sell smoke off of the menu.... THC content, taste, hair color, all listed on the card... you can get a j..but man do they roll em wierd,, the dutch "cones" are something to see... or you can order a bowl .. it;s funny as hell.. it looks like a bar ..but instead of beer mugs there are bongs..everywhere...

The hard stuff isnt legal.. but I promise you .. walk around the red light for a minute and you will be offered everything under the sun...

They call coke "Charlie".. these dudes run around the street saying "Charlie Charlie X X Charlie" .. really F ing odd... alot of them will sell bunk but many offer up the realness.. but the cops DO NOT LIKE IT... stay away.

Funny story . I got arrested once in the Dam.. they have these funny looking urinal in the middle of the street ...out in the open.. well I had to piss.. I had been at "Teasers" (think hooters..but way cooler).. anywho.. I had to piss ...the urinal was busy... the urinal in the middle of the sidewalk mind you.. so I walk around the corner.. alleyway..whip it out and let it go ..

I got arrested for peeing in a back alley instead of on the street.. and not b/c i was blowed out of my head... surreal experince...being stoned out of your gord around a bunch of cops. and they dont give a hoot .. they care about you peeing...in an alley ..not in the middle of the street.... try thinking that through when your kite high

I ended up having to pay a fine in a paddy wagon with a credit card machine... no shit .. no lie...

My passport is current, I'll have to buy an el cheapo cue (hate to lose mine in the haze) sounds like fun. Bring it stateside and attendace will be through the roof

True ... but it's not too hard to find in USA either if one truly wants to.

I lived one block away from the red light district in a nice one bedroom pad overlooking the canal for a year in '98 when working on a project over there.

I only went to brown cafe one time for the experience (and didn't inhale) .. went over there with one US guy for whom it was heaven :D
