Sent a book (The Green Felt Jungle) to Canada today, had to pay post office over $9.50 shipping when I only pay $2.53 anywhere in U.S., so I loss money on that sale. Please let your vendor know if you live in Canada.

I know the feeling. I had Nick send me a couple copies of some subject on paper, only a couple, and they charged me more then $20.00. I only paid about 25.00 for what he sold me, and I ended up with the shipping was as much as the couple templates of Paper................

When ever I offer to purchase anything from AZ, I always make sure that the seller knows that I live in Canada.
I always expect to pay extra for shipping. I leave my Postal Code if the seller wants to check on the rate.
In cases where the shipping was estimated, I have Pay Paled the extra cost after the item was shipped.
A little extra planning and courtesy have always worked for me.
Instead of excluding Canadians, in the future when you get a Canadian order, let them know that shipping is extra.
Shipping sounds about right. I just picked up an ice fishing reel today. Shipping was $11 and change and it was a small box.
I have purchased all the other authors pool books. Guess I can cross this one off my list.

That has been the case since about the first of the year. All international shipping has gone out of sight. You have to just pass the cost on the the customer. If they don't want to pay,fine. It also may be a good idea to get a few sellers in Canada they can order direct from for a more reasonable shipping cost.

Don't feel bad. I lost money on a recent AZ deal by shipping to Canada for the first time without adding the extra cost. No big deal, just good to know.

If someone out of the US orders something from me I charge them extra for the shipping plain and simple. If I sell a DVD to someone outside of the US the charge is $10 extra for international orders, I have to fill out the customs form which I hate and also shipping is pricey and not always able to be tracked at this cheaper rate.

Ship in plain brown paper, hand written address & return
Mark as "present" or "Sample"

Are your Customs Declarations any more complicated than Canada's is?
Name, address and phone number, if available.
Item description and value.

How is this difficult. Or any different than sending an item in the USA, other than writing: DVD - $24
I cannot ship international from the USPS kiosk and have to wait in line instead and sometimes the lines are long so that takes up my time. I know it takes a few minutes to fill out the customs form but still they are a pain to do but I still do them, you must write both addresses on the form, what is in it and value along with date and signature.
Since I got into cue repair, I resigned myself to knowing that any supplies that I receive are just going to cost me considerably more in shipping, including any Customs fees.
Its part of doing business and a little disappointing at times but nothing to get stressed over.
I have been refused an item on occasion because the seller won't ship out of country.
Thats fine, I can usually find the same thing somewhere else.

I have shipped items all over the world, one time I sent a 700r4 transmission to the UK. I don't mind shipping if the buyer does not mind paying, there is risk though as tracking is different when it reaches the destination country.
