Before the cue ball gets 1/10th of the way to the object ball,

You already know you missed it!:(

When you make a tuff cut shot with perfect speed and still find a pocket to scratch in

It happens to me when the OB is over 5+ feet away from my eyes. I look and look and setup with an aiming technique or whatever. I take the time to really know where the OB is, setup well, stroke well, then squeeze the trigger and BAM!, like you said, I know the instant I hit it that I missed it.'

Why didn't I see it just a millisecond before that? What changed that allowed me to see it AFTER, not before, I hit the CB? I think, for me, it is the distance and since my lasik, my brain doesn't know that my astigmatism has changed for the better and it keeps thinking the OB exist in a different place than it really does.

I'd appreciate any help anyone here has.

It's too bad that you just can't run down to the other end and grab the cue ball before it makes contact, and get a free "Do Over"!

For me, when that happens, I think I realize it just after the fact because my mechanics were off and I felt it in the hit. I don't know if what I am saying applies to your situation but I think that's whats happening to me.

Mt 2nd favorite is when you know you stroked it as good as you can possibly stroke it, you hit the object ball exactly where you wanted to hit it.......
and you miss by 2 diamonds.

Chalk at the contact points.

Yeah I used to wonder how I got THAT much throw.

My favorite is when you either over roll or under roll a shot by
just enough not to have another shot, I'm sure that's all that's keeping me from being me a world beater;)
