Yup, no denying that or the option of the ninja like carbon fiber shaft. I saw that white carbon fiber
is being offered and some time ago I wondered if a maple version was in the works to make it look
like a shaft made by the cue maker. Now that’s something, especially with a ferrule, that would be
pretty popular or so I’m presuming. I have two cues where the shaft actually makes the design look
more complete. One is my fancy Bob Owen cue. The shaft collar has 32 inlays & sitting on top of the
ivory joint when assembled makes its design look better. There’s just a lot of work that design and in
the photo, it’s the 3rd cue from the top. The other is my Ed Prewitt cue (top cue) with the same design
but w/nickel rings instead of stitched ivory. Both cues have matching joint protectors so you can imagine
what the assembled cue would be. IMO, sandwiching the ivory joint between those collars improves the look.
