Partner, that is a great looking cue, I wish you well with your sale. I have always personally loved Troys work, he is certainly a true craftsman. I am not a collector or I would buy that cue right now. In my opinion that is steal for the priced you are asking.

Good luck with the sale

Wowzers

I second that motion !!!

That joint is going to produce a great hit, every thing else looks top notch.

Nice cue at a great Tax Stimulus price. :D

That is a sweet looking cue! I have a cue with a SS flat-faced joint using a Radial pin and really like that style of joint. And Troy is a great cue maker. I hope the cue is sold by tomorrow morning because I don't know how long I can resist pulling the trigger on it.:)

Especially with it being new....it is a tremendous deal. If it were me, I would put a nice leather wrap on it and have it as a player for sure!!

Is this a 58" cue? Also, would you say it has a pretty stiff hit or would it be a little softer, but solid? I enjoy as stiff a hit as possible for my playing cues.

Thanks for all the props everyone! This is a brand new cue just out of Troy's shop. It is 58" in length. The hit is firm and solid, but not with the "click" of the solid steel collar. The sleeved steel has very good feedback.

looks like a winner

I just saw 2 ivory cues of troys which were the most expensive cues he made. these are sharp and its not priced in the thousands, Matlock plays with a downey, doesn't cj wiley, I remember seeing some at the 96,000 shootout olathe can't recall how many but there was a few more. Radial pin wood to wood with steel collar is the real deal. mark

Downey makes great cues! can't wait for mine to be finish. bump for a nice looking cue

You've got a deal

Let me know how you wish payment to be made. Also, let me know the cost of a second shaft if one that matches is available. :)
