Its a race to 6 alternate break nine ball, it cant be that shocking?
you guys act like i beat him! cmon drago can play! i liked the finger spin after he shook shanes hand like"no big deal" that was great!

and as a faithful hoper i am, drago's match-up will be shane's only single loss. drago is the shits.
other than shane, europe thanks.

Drago is a world beater. I seen him gamble with Efren one time playing 8 ball and he was up 3 sets, Efren won one set then quit and Drago was pissed off and kept trying to talk him into playing again.

Shane

Did you see Shane chuckle a little bit when he was playing Drago? I bet he was thinking "man I wish this was a race to 11 without these goofy break rules"

um..

no disrespect to mr. drago he played great and won a huge point for team europe! but that point aside "HE WANTS NONE OF THE KID"

Drago caught a gear, SVB had alot on his shoulders. SVB was cool afterwards no dents in his armour.

Im just sayin, i mean, a race to 6 alternate break?!?! Shane is the hands down favorite, but its not thread worthy when he loses to another pro player in a super mini race to say "oomg wow shane lost to drago?!?! omg omg shane sucks!"

Big nasty, if I ran your text message limit over, ill ship you the 1.20, my bad playa!
;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

never over playea! cause thats how i rowl.

Drago played great today! He got on a roll with his come from behind win over Rodney and never slowed down against Shane.

Everyone made the mistake of underestimating the European team. Sure, they don't have Oliver, Thorsten and Mika, but these guys can play and anyone can win a short match. I think it kind of helped them being the big underdog coming in. All the pressure was on the US team to prove the handicappers right.

From close up, the immense pressure of this event is palpable. You are no longer playing just for yourself. You are playing for your team and your country. I would guess the pressure is as great here, as if you were playing in the finals of the WPC or the U.S. Open.

Ultimately the winner this week will be the team that stands up best under pressure. When I saw Shane fail to get out with ball in hand and four balls on the table, I knew he was feeling it. I fully expect Team USA to regroup tomorrow and have a good day. They just got a wake up call today that Team Europe was not going to go quietly. I think the last two days we'll see some great matches and some exciting finishes.

MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN!

Stop whining! Tony is one of the best players in the world, he deserves to win. Shane lost, that's a fact. Don't blame the alternative break, race to 6 etc. Both have equal chances, and the best man won.

Drago played really good, don't think he missed in that game..SVB didnt play well at all, as Jay said he didnt run out with BIH with 4 balls left and a pretty easy runout..i think USA getting that last point was crucial and will set up the Mosconi for a good finish..
And this is SVB second loss of the Mosconi he lost in a doubles match earlier in the day.

LOL!!!!!! "equal chances" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if it were winner break race to 50 youd bet on tony eh?????

My take

I just got back from watching the first two days.

Drago beat Shane... There was no doubt. Shane made some mistakes and Drago was feeling it. However I think what got Drago in the zone was a couple of good or easier racks and two big rolls.

I dont believe that he ran a rack during the match. I know Shane scratched and Drago ran out.

Shane played a bit tentative but all the US guys played without any emotion.

so what drago won in a race to 6 wow. basically he doesn't want any of shane if they were to play some. period.

Seems like Tony Drago either sucks or is the second coming of Christ -- nothing in between. Hence, when Tony is on, I doubt Shane (or anyone) can beat him, even if playing at his best. (Besides, The Dragon plays with a Parris ;^)

If SVB was this good, he would have won. He lost, the only thing he could blame is him self!

Drago has won the World Pool Masters. That was more than race to 6 against a single player and puts him in exclusive company:D :D :D
