DYT Top Eurpoeans Can Play Full Rack Banks?

We know that the Europeans and other areas outside the US come to the Derby and play banks.
Can't remember the last time we saw a non Derby bank match up though.

Do you think that non US shooters can play full rack for the $$$ with the good to great bankers, a lot of who you just never hear about anymore because of day jobs.

For those of you who don't know about full rack, it is a whole different monster.
Who do you think is the best full rack banker right now?
Skylar plays great short rack, has he played a ton of full rack?
 
I’m sure many would adapt to the game if they were interested.

After all it’s putting balls in pockets.

The strategy needs to be learned but the best seem to learn that sort of thing quickly after a couple ass whoopings.

Why then is no one matching up banking?
Several non pros have standing offers for full rack bank action, yet no one steps up.
 
I’ve never seen banks played once in Europe. They rarely play 1P either. Not sure why. 8,9,10B is common all over.
 
I haven't seen full rack banks played in 20 years, but I guess it's still played in the bank pool hotspots.

Asking whether the Europeans can adapt to the American niche games is a bit odd:

Straight Pool
At the last American 14.1 in October 2022, all of the top eight finishers were European.

One Pocket
Three of the top four at the 2022 Derby City One Pocket were European, in Gorst, Appleton and Grabe

Banks
At the 2022 Derby City banks, Gorst beat Shaw in the final, while Labutis and Fortunski tied for fifth.

The Europeans are phenomenal cueists and have shown that they can shine at any game on the pool table once they have experience. All the games have some specialized knowledge, but in time the best cueists will always win.

Of course, a super-elite cueist who has never played full rack probably would be foolish to try John Brumback at it.
 
Everyone knows, the best full rack bumper is Dan Harriman. ;)

The reasons the elite cueists where much better than others at standard games at an early age are the same reasons they will pick up niche games quickly later on. It has little to do with which part of the planet they hail from. Throw prize money at them and they will come, adapt and some of them will win.

JB spent about 10 days at my house in Vegas years ago. We played several times. I felt like I won if I made 2 balls in a rack of short rack banks, well it wasn’t quite that strong but I never played anyone so strong at banks. Was in 2009 I’d guess, he was in top form, I was as well. I’ve played plenty of strong bank players, but JB was just next level.🙏🏼

The only time I’ve seen full rack banks was Jay Helfert playing Greg Sullivan $50/rack at my house. They played there a couple times over the years. Other than those sessions I’ve never seen full rack banks played anywhere-but I’m a west coast player & banks is rare anywhere.
