DZ Titlist Tribute Possibly for trade or sale.

I've played with this cue for a little while now and for some reason I cannot get used to it. I don't play nearly as much as I used to, it's probably me. I think it's the balance point throwing me off since it's forward balanced. Don't get me wrong it hits very nice. I absolutely love how it came out though....it's gorgeous! The cue can be seen here:

It is still in pristine condition and I am going to have the shafts cleaned. They are matched shafts and have exactly the same specs. Both are older growth shafts and slightly darker in color. They were hand picked by Bob. Both shafts have pressed triangle tips and the ferules are .600 long. The only difference between the shafts is one has an Ivorine 3 ferule, the other has mason h's micarta ferule.

The cue has a 19.25 inch balance point and has a calf leather wrap and SS 3/8-10 flat bottom pin joint. Specs are below:

Joint Diameter.840
Butt Diameter 1.260
Butt Weight 15.29oz

Shaft 1 Mason's Micarta Ferule
Tip Diameter 12.78
Shaft Weight 3.76

Shaft 2 Ivorine 3
Tip Diameter12.78
Shaft Weight 3.84

Total Weight w/Shaft 1 19.05oz
Total Weight w/Shaft 2 19.13oz

I am interested in trading for one of the Blackcreek full splices, always wanted to try one of Travis's cues. I would also be interested in any titlist conversions. I would sell the cue for the right price also, having the same cue made with the special point work and using BR would cost $1000.00 or more. I am not interested in trading with cash added. I will trade even or maybe down if you add some cash. For now, I'm trying to see what's out there and if a good enough deal comes along I will be interested. Thanks, Rob.

I remember this cue and commented on it. If Jim Lee wasnt building me one I'd be chasing this one:grin-square: I think this is a great built cue. As for the hit I cant say but the looks are awesome! Good luck bro!

Hit is subjective...I think it hits great but I think I need something a little differently balanced. My last cue was balanced different and it felt like an extension of my arm. Everything about this cue is great....except I can't get used to the balance. I asked for something with a more forward balance point and he nailed it.

Yea its hard to get used to if you've shot with one cue forever. I went from a Meucci to a Jim Lee Cue and it was like I went from a warped soft shaft to one that was rock hard and stiff as all get out. Takes some getting used to for sure.

But I know you'll find a seller for this bad boy, because it is VERY sharp!!!

Even up !

Tommy, that's a nice cue. What is inscribed on the forearm? Unfortunately that would be something that would deter me from the trade...sorry but interested to hear what it says and where the original came from.

The inscription on the forearm say's , " Made for TCR by Jerry Rauenzahn 1964-2008 ".

It was supposed to be a duplicate of a Peterson Titlist that I had made for me in 1964.

Jerry said that could come off very easily - I would pay the fee for that

I'll send you a PM with the details of this cue.

Tommy

Nice cues shown so far. Would like to see what else is out there also. I'm in no rush and will keep all the options open :)

Would you like to trade for your old DZ cue. It's a great player with the Dominiak shaft, but you could have another shaft made for it by DZ or you could simply keep one or of the new shafts that came with the Tribute. I would, of course, add some cash to the deal. PM me if interested.

I've got some "secret plans" concerning titlist ideas.....fill you in on that later. Just wanted to try a couple of different cuemakers cues or sell outright for the cash.

Bumpity bump I say!

Please do! I've been playing with titlist cues for about 40years now! I love em!

Bump for Mr. DZ....

IMHO this is one of, if not the, BEST Tribute cues I've seen on here this year! Bob is a perfectionist for sure and this is a FINE example of his craftsmanship without any doubts!!!

BEAUTY of a cue & Best of luck with your sale

I completely concur....hey! I did have a part in the design ;) I gave him specs and design and he nailed it! That's why this is driving me nuts....it's such a gorgeous cue!!! I think I'm going to add some weight to it and see if that doesn't do anything for me.
