E-Grip pool cue holder review

At that price I would hope the "Customer Service" would be top notch. What type of customer service would/should be needed anyway?

In my hands or laying flat on the pool table or in my cue case.....the only places you'll find my pool cue.

Well lets eliminate the haters right off....yes this costs 75$ .....yes that is expensive....I don't give a damn if you think me foolish or extravagant, it's my money and I shall spend it as I see fit!/QUOTE]

Why do you care so much about what other people think of how you spend your money?

Same here.

If I'm playing, my cue is in my hand or flat on table.

I don't break with my playing cue so, I stand my playing cue inside of my case with a sleeve over the shaft for extra protection.

While using my player, my break cue is also inside case with sleeve over shaft. I do my jump cue the same way.

A craftsman is only as good as his tools in trade specific situations.

I look at my cues as tools.

Before retiring, I was known for taking very good care of my tools, keeping my office desk tidy and being very straightforward with my work. I try my best to be the same way in pool.

BTW, love your cues......

Freddie, how does this thing work? the picture on the link doesn't make it clear, and the website printed on the device doesn't exist.

I just bought one. I imagine that the surface "holds" the cue by friction. But I have no idea on how it affixes to a table.

Seems there will always be some drunk or just some careless ahole who will manage to kick your cue no matter what holder your using. If im not shooting, my stick is in my hand or its back in its case till my next game. Makes it so much harder for that wanker that insists on damaging your cue.
There can be 100 inexpensive cues laying out during league and 1 drunk in the room and he'll find my custom to stumble over!

1001 uses.

Also available at Dollar Tree.

LOL! And yes, everyone can make their own. It is that simple.

I think I bought 6 Cue Grips for $20 . Clicking was simpler than making my own! But I’m lazy like that.

But, yeah, just a piece router mat or shelf liner with the added aluminum bar for weight.

The aluminum bar adds the weight. I’ve never had this thing slip off any surface. I’ve also draped it over a pole (like at the BCA Pl national event, the cordon/pole that encloses the playing area.)

Freddie <~~~ thank you Jack Justis

Okay, I can't take it anymore. My curiosity has gotten the better of me.

What keeps the cue from rolling off the Cue Grabber? It looks like the slightest bit of jostling would send a cue rolling off of it. Is it a sticky/grippy substance that holds the cue and if so, does it leave any residue on the shaft? To be honest, it looks like Velcro.

I'll say this though, the price is certainly right.

More details of how this works and protects your cues from drunken a$$holes.

Maniac (got my finger over the "place order" button as I type)

Take the leap. Push the button.

It’s high friction, but no residue. I’ve never had one remotely want to roll off!

And nothing stops a drunken friend, unfortunately.

I just lay my case on the table at an angle, letting it hang over a few inches. Set my cue in the crotch and it stays put.

Thereby eliminating a lot of space on the table that you share with your opponent. No offense to you, but I always find this method a bit obnoxious, especially if the quarters are already cramped and you both have some small items you need to put on the table, drinks, etc.

Just get a 2 way cue claw. Vastly more efficient way to use the space you share with your opponent.

Thank you. Never thought of that. But I either practice solo or play my girlfriend, in which case we use the same case.

If I ever get good enough to join a league, I will heed this advice. Don't want to be That Guy.

I use a shelf liner like some of the posters above. It works perfectly. In the past when I had cue holders I would sometimes leave it in the poolroom by accident. Now I buy a roll of shelf liner, if I leave it in a poolroom I just tear another piece off the roll!!

I always respect when someone can accept a criticism positively without getting all upset. Thank you for that! It was just my own opinion but you respected it.

Here's how I look at the situation. I really don't care if the cue holder is constructed using titanium
steel, lined with deerskin & costs $ $15 or $150. I am not going to entrust the welfare of my cues to
any device when I've been caring for my cues without any for decades by being careful all the time.

Johnny posted an example where a drunk comes along and picks up your cue from all the other cues
and well, that's just the fault of the cue owner. I don't mingle my cues in a pile of cues laying on the
pool table. I keep my playing cue separate and apart from everyone else's and always in plain sight.

If I step away to go to the bathroom, my cue and case are placed directly under the table and I have
one of my pals keep an eye open as a added precaution. Otherwise, I store my case in my locker at
the pool hall and just take my playing cue with me to the BR. I am just never going to entrust the
physical welfare of my cue to any device because that would only invite becoming careless over time
instead of just sticking with my approach that costs nothing and is reliable too: hands/table/case only.

If I have someone with me, I always have them keep an eye on my cues/case when I go to the restroom. When I'm playing, my case w/my other cues is directly under the table I'm playing on. I'll use a cue holder, but I always set it up (if possible) where there is little to no foot traffic.

When I go alone to a place where I know in advance I will know no one, I have a special case and less expensive cues (the kind that it wouldn't break my heart if they got stolen).

I ordered this today because I think it may be an improvement over the Porper model (which I kinda liked before it broke): https://www.seyberts.com/cue-candy-cue-holder What the heck...$15.

Maniac (never taking a cue into the restroom :D)
