Earl mistake

They both played a fantastic match up until that mistake, which was obviously the beginning of the end for Earl. He just threw in the towel after that.

Yes, the old Earl was present at times and as always was great to see how simple he makes it all look.

Surprising miss but not that boneheaded....he put alot of inside on the ball to check it off the rail for the 8, and had a thin cut as is. I've actually seen this happen quite a bit simply because when the object ball is so close to the pocket we tend to be less careful in compensating for spin.

LMAO Another Earl "THE GIRL" Strickland lol, I respect his game, but he suck as a sportsman, geez.

I'm confused, at which point did he display poor sportsmanship in this match?

Yes his game fell apart, but he still conducted himself as a professional. I can remember some matches of my own where a couple of awful rolls and a missed 9 ball caused my game to fall to pieces. So I'd rather sympathise rather than judge him.

Not this game, he did conduct himself good in this match, but Earl's overall behavior overshadows the good. Yes, he might be one of the best player to every wield a cue but man his temper is horrible, but I guess that also makes him an interesting player to watch, we always like drama. I do feel bad for him for the the mistake. Like I said, don't get me wrong, he is a heck of a player, but we all know Earl has pretty bad sportsmanship.

That is a pratty rough one. I've made that mistake too many times myself.

Earl is a bad sportsman, but he was pretty somposed here. I think it's because him and Rodney get along so well. Didn't they say that he gets paired with Rodney a lot for the Mosconi Cup because of how well they hang together?

I have seen him do things like this on the TV table a few times and i ask Earl what was going on.

I was told by Earl that he does not like playing on the TV table because the players do not get any money out of the DVD;s that are sold. He also said that he would never try if he was put on the TV table again.

I am not sure if they get paid or not but i think they should (JMHO)

Well, we all know he does have issues, ones which he is trying to get under control. He certainly has gotten out of line many times, and seems it is primarily directed at the crowd, which he feels is always against him. Hes not always wrong unfortunately.

What doesn't get reported very often is the instances of good sportsmanship. I often see him clapping for his opponents good outs and good shots.

I remember seeing a 14.1 match of his, I think it was the maine event, where the referee racked the break ball when Earls opponent was shooting. Earl placed the ball back where it was (at a good angle too I might add). I think there are quite a few players that would have used that to their advantage.
